Married with Children was better than Seinfeld
there I said it
|
I never got Seinfeld. It didn't do much for me. It had it's moments such as the Soup Nazi and Festivus, but that was about it.
|
I totally agree. Loved Married With Children and tolerated Seinfeld only seeing small clips. Yet Married there was so many great lines and stories not to mention the beautiful women that dropped by. I was shocked to see Traci Lords in there a couple of times as well.

Both exist in the same world. You're just telling on yourself now.

The first 4 or 5 seasons of Married with Children were masterpieces. Once they lost the Steven Rhodes character and replaced him with Jefferson Darcy it started to go downhill, fast.
That said, Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom of all time... and it's not even close. |
Christina Applegate was how I first realized I have a thing for Snowbunnies.
|
Seinfeld only kept running because Frank Sinatra died and took the focus away from how unfunny the series was.

Both were great shows.
As for the Seinfeld haters, it takes a certain amount of intelligence to understand the Seinfeld humour...just saying. |
Can't stand Seinfeld

Seinfeld was always shit. Bundy was much better.
Have you heard they are making an animated reboot of MWC? |
Hot takes nowadays . . .

With the left gone, comedy will re appear.

I *loved* Married with Children. The first season was good, but all the seaons after that were freaking funny as hell. I still watch MwC clips on youtube today for a fast laugh.
I read once the director, or casting director maybe, didn't like how Ed O'Neill looked and only let him audition because he had to. O'Neill heard about this just before he went on stage, so decided to play the part of Al Bundy as someone who just didn't give a fuck about anything. The "doesn't give a fuck" attitude of the character wasn't written in - it came from O'Neill himself. He so impressed the director that he won the part on the spot. |
