I really thought the Redwine and cognac casks would do it but nah the Aldi Highland black cheapy still beats it https://www.aldi.com.au/groceries/li...-whisky-700ml/

What are you on??

Jefferson's Ocean has been my go-to sipper for a couple years now. Usually throw together an Old Fashioned with it or just sip on it neat as the Lord intended.

Big fan of Starward! Usually bring a bottle of Nova back whenever I visit. I also have a bottle of their ginger beer cask release which is interesting to try. I want to try the Two Fold which blends in a wheat mash.

I drink mostly bourbon and rye over peated / single malt though. Tried a few american-style corn and rye whiskies in Tasmania last year, but honestly couldn't tell you which distilleries they were from.

Not tooooooo bad at $259 a bottle. The 18 year old is about $750 and I don't taste the difference at all.

I joined a local Whisky club https://thewhiskyclub.com.au/ and get a bottle of something new every month, I'm a sucker for big peated single malts... family is originally from Islay so it's in my genes.

Not a huge boozer, maybe a beer or 2 on the weekend. However, when I have a cigar I like a glass of the dalmore
