https://www.mattsmodels.com/

They started in 2000:

https://web.archive.org/web/20000303...m/welcome.html

Seems that was when they shot most of their content!

I used to promote the site a while back but didn't get many sales from it.

mechanicvirus 11-15-2024 04:11 PM

Yea wow, I promoted them in the early 2000's and it used to kill! In fact I think I remember Alison Angel posed for them before she became a solo model for FTV, but I'm not 100% sure. Sad to see them closing, maybe someone will buy the archives.

CaptainHowdy 11-15-2024 04:14 PM

That was a good run . . .

I imagine in the early years it was easy to make a lot of money promoting sites. I only started promoting the site around 2022. Guess I missed the boat! Matt's Models must have been one of the first big porn sites and I imagine they made a great deal of money.

The Porn Nerd 11-15-2024 05:01 PM

I'm surprised Roald or Gamma did not buy them out and move their archives over to those top companies.

amacontent 11-15-2024 05:07 PM

Best of luck

Time flies. Those were the days. My neighbor was killing it, that was one reason I decided to give it a go. Some easy years then.

Major (Tom) 11-16-2024 01:06 AM

Wow. Good run. Best of luck

Just mailed them. Let's see what it is :thumbsup

Why close the site? Why not just continue to rotate contact out and then rotate it back in? As long as enough money is coming in to cover the hosting keep it going.

Software degrades, keeping up with AV is tough state by state. It has a cost to run and maybe they have been rotating it for a while already.

Maybe their content is just too old and has been seen by most people now, being that it's been on line for nearly 25 years. I got the impression Matt's Models stopped filming new content about 20 years ago! Maybe it's just not making that much money now and hardly worth continuing with. I assume they made a fortune in the early days and every since then it's been less and less profit each year. Or maybe they've found God!

Instagram, Onlyfans took over such sites. I must say the models in your site are quite pretty.

this...

very strange to close a site unless itīs literally making nothing & no sales...

I notice no new updates :2 cents:

Considering the scrutiny on credit card billing nowadays and the fact that many older sites have imperfect documentation, I am not surprised if people give up at some point. Especially if they have moved on to other businesses anyways or simply made enough to retire.

Yep. Most billers in 2024 are asking for new content policy documents and reporting procedures that a lot of companies regardless of size would need to prepare for the first time.

High risk fees keep increasing.

Servers need to be upgraded, sites moved.

Adult paysites are not as "set and forget" as people think.
