Why are there so many scammers
 

Just wondering?

I wrote a great thread praising LunarLynx, he has been real helpful. Even delivered a site. Which is shocking when paid through crypto with most these guys, and now, I am trying to reach him.

When I ask, what is the progress and where are we, nobody likes to answer the question.

Why is almost *everyone* you have dealings with ‘a scammer’?

Have you ever thought that maybe, you’re the issue? Nobody is that unlucmy that every single person they have business dealings with is ‘a scammer’ 🤷*♂️

also if a site would make at least consistent profit for a longer period of time, it wouldn't be for sale as it is.

There are two problems I see that maybe occurring here.

1 Quality vs. cost: You'll find that if you're constantly pushing to get something for cheap and a low cost then yes you'll meet up with scammers more often. When you do research and find that there are people out there who do quality work an praised by many and even though maybe more than what you can afford - they are the ones who deliver the product you're wanting.

Most of the time I hear about getting ripped off by scammers that seems to be the common equation - I want it cheap - paid for cheap - got scammed.

2) Patience and Empathy: Now in this situation - I'm finding that you have a common problem - "when I tried to contact them they didn't respond". Well in one situation it was over a weekend and others just because they don't answer immediately doesn't mean you got scammed. You may need to develop patience - not everyone runs on your clock.

Not quite, the people if you look who do any business here are always asking for crypto.
Then I ask to show me what you've done, they show nothing except ask for more crypto

I never ask for crypto and from experience those that work overseas do - not to many from North America (I could be wrong)
That being said - you can't trace it nor do a charge back.

Again what I posted just because they are cheaper doesn't mean they have any quality. All the research and information is right here around you to know who's the best to ask and trustworthy. If you're getting a price that's too high consider that in normal circles that just maybe is the actual price and anyone cheaper is scamming or won't give you what you want

OP should be banned for breaking several rules:

Rule 6:
Excessive harassment or verbal abuse of a single member, will be grounds for a warning. Inciting others to harass or verbally abuse a member will also generate the same warning. Repeated violation after warning will result in the ban hammer

False accusations against a person or company. We all want to know what companies and individuals have done you wrong. Just make sure you back any claims you make up with solid proof. If you plan on calling someone a scammer, liar, cheat, or anything else, have your proof in order and post it with your claim. False accusations will be grounds for immediate banning.

Insinuations Meant to Do Harm Any insinuations made in an attempt to do harm to a person (personal attack) or business, shall be grounds for immediate banning.


He has been following user 99store around accusing them of ripping him off. OP has provide no proof of the accusations while 99store has posted at least part of an actual conversation that backs up 99store fairly well.

OP has attacked several members including long time members like Amacontent of various things, again, without backing it up with any kind of proof.

OP offers nothing of value to this forum other than giving other members someone to point to as "how not to do business on gfy".

Most of this has occurred in the sell and buy forum so many here might not be aware of it.

I remember you trying to launch back when I was still in the game. I been out a while bro. Might want to pick a different path in life. You going to dig yourself into a hole here.

There are crypto atm machines all over Europe that have no AML/KYC for single transactions under 1000 euro. You just transfer crypto to the company, get a PIN or QR code, scan it in the ATM machine and get cash in hand without anything linking it to your name. You can do up to 15k EUR/day like this before they legally have to do any AML/KYC.

How many times a day do you ask them "what is the progress" ?
You sound like one of the guys I dealt with who would call me at 3 a.m. to report that thumbnails weren’t being generated by our script, only for me to find out he had put the files in the wrong directory—despite all the error messages clearly stating, “Can’t find any files in the image directory.”

With as much time as you've spent trying to get things done, you could have taught yourself to be a semi-competent coder and solved these issues yourself.

Scammers exist because people want everything done for them.
Doesn't matter if its websites or a car. If you do not know what needs done. Then you can and will get scammed.
Doesn't mean there are not good ppl in the business, it means its like any business. Rule #1 Trust no one, #2 Tell people only what they need to know. #3 Refer to one and two for all your business dealings.

Looks like you need to find a developer for maintenance and little tweaks.

Not much is install and forget, there's always something you need to keep an eye on.

There is no such thing as a turnkey adult site.

All adult sites I have worked on or own have been consistently updated daily.

My personal site has been updated daily since 2005. I started way back in 1998.

The way this works with virtually every design agency out there is you establish milestones and deliverable dates and both parties abide by these. You don't get to call all day, every day and pester and bother the production team. That's just not a thing.

did that with my coder here. had researched him thoroughly (as I'm sure he did me) but no biggie, were already friends and he gave me his linkedin and ish to prove creds I already knew he had

half up front, half on completion. he had a question I replied. otherwise just work yo magic

later work just gave him the parameters of what I needed, was told what it would cost, stayed in contact with him throughout to answer questions again. then paid him what he wanted immediately 'pon completion which was infinitely reasonable. no strife. no drama. I wasn't going anywhere, he wasn't either

had he asked for full up front would have paid it. the nature of an ongoing biz relationship and friendship

granted not everyone tight with their programmer but OP incapable of rationality or decency. his dictionary misses the page about professionalism. my cat probs ate it. sorry

walking target for scams, told him that so many moons ago when he'd already blown thousands. tried to tell him how to protect himself

whoosh, ignored and he went into full blown character assassination against everyone who tried to help him

actually got off pretty light compared to others

Because there are too many naive people who are way too easy to scam. Scammers only exist because those scams work out.

Scammers exist near the bottom of the barrel where the cheap pricing stuff sinks too. Don't be surprised when you dive down there into their waters and get bit.

I think this was inscribed on the tablets Moses got a while back but still some don't understand the simple concept.

I only get toxic comments written to me here sometimes, but I hang in there)))))
