Perfect, thanks :)

Anything 'touristy' to do other than the beach thats actually worth going to? We did the royal palace in Mallorca last month and it was utter shite, huge rooms with a rug, a desk and some random pot plants in them :1orglaugh

Gran Canaria has micro climate. One parts get more rain, while a mountain blocks the rain on the other part.
The maincity Las Palmas is the part where it can rain in some months.

The city Las Palmas de Gran Canaria nice for 1 day visit.

The action is happening in Playa del Ingles and some in Maspalomas.

Just google, cannabis club, swingers, Yumbo and boat party. That is all there is.

Weather is always great in GC, probably the best in the world all year round.

Great nude beaches, too.

Amazing gay scene...

Terrible place. Getting a plastic vodka bottle at the gas station is at least twice the price of Canada. Ridiculous.

You must be talking about some other place...because Gran Canaria is one of the cheapest places in all of Europe.

Food is cheap, and many places where pensioners stay from different countries.
In Shopping Center Gran Chaparral are at least 20 Dutch bars, Heineken Cafe is most famous.
And than a whole part for British people.

But hotel/apartment prices are most expensive in Playa del Ingles.
Therefor some go few kilometers further to Maspalomas.

8 years ago i rented for 550 euro a month. Now there is a housing shortage.

You can still rent for $600-700 per month on a 6 month lease, in Puerto Rico or anywhere in the south. And yeah, food is cheap, even in restaurants, compared to most countries in mainland Europe. Car rentals are some of the cheapest in the world...got a car for $15 per day, including full insurance, with no deposit. Its a nice place to be. Probably the only place where I would want to be, if I had to stay in Europe longterm.

I was 5 minutes from Heineken Cafe, direct in the action.
Else need a taxi everyday after the party being drunk.

Now there must be cannabis clubs also.

It is possible to rent indeed for long time. But must be on time.
Most apartments are rented long time to pensioners during European winter.
And they go after rentals without hotel license. Airbnb became very strict.

I was in Greece last year, also good prices for wine and food and great country.

I am looking to go for 2 months Gran Canaria this year.
But plans can change. Roadtrip south of Spain could also be an option, From Alicante to Marbella.

There where floodings in Gran Canaria few weeks ago.

There is one in Puerto Rico, right in the old outdoor mall, second floor. Easy to register online before entry.

But I am sure there are plenty more.
