Some of you are insufferable. You know who you are. And for those of you who don't know who you are - congratulations, you're probably one of them.

So I built something. It's called Tango Down - a Chrome extension that lets you nuke users, threads, and entire subforums from your GFY experience. Gone. Poof. Like they never existed.

Features:
- Block Users - Two flavors: "Disable" (you can peek if you're feeling masochistic) or "Terminate" (scorched earth, no trace)
- Block Threads - Tired of seeing the same garbage thread bumped to the top? Problem solved.
- Block Subforums - Some of you shouldn't even know certain sections exist
- Blocks quotes too - Because I'm not going to see your stupid shit repeated by someone else

How to Install (try to keep up):

1. Download page: https://WebIgniter.com/tango-down
2. Unzip it somewhere you'll remember (I believe in you)
3. Go to: chrome://extensions/
4. Turn on "Developer mode" (top right toggle)
5. Click "Load unpacked"
6. Select the vbulletin-blocker folder
7. Right-click on someone annoying and send them into their own black hole of despair

How to Use:

Right-click on a username → "Block user (Disable)" or "Block user (Terminate)"
Right-click on a thread link → "Block this thread"
Right-click on a subforum link → "Block this subforum"

That's it. It's not complicated. If you can't figure this out, you probably need to be blocked too.

To the normal folks, practice extreme caution adding this to your browser. Search Mindi's post history for more info, and pay attention to what you see recurring with bro, repeatedly, for ~30 years.

I personally looked over the code and played with it on a burner Chromium based browser... and it's current version seems aight, nothing amiss. But one update to this buttercup snowflake safe-space tool after you already installed it and forgot about it on your main browser and you could end up the subject of bro's next mega-thread about himself with your nic hi-jacked... and that would just be the very least of your new set of very weird problems that he will weirdly be right in the middle of. It's his recurring gift to this community, verified.

I stuck to our agreement and did not post anything negative about Pheer or Mindi even after Mindi admitted that he was Pheer - fine we all knew that. Then he continually harassed - I even private messaged you that I will honor things and not get involved and stay away - but you forget to tell him. Recently he threatened physical harm to me

Mindi - why not use it on your own computer and block everyone you listed since that was what it was for? Got this while testing. I blocked a user and then clicked on show anyway. It all seemed to work but when I went back into the extensions it showed this error.

As for the security concerns: the code is 100% open and unobfuscated - anyone can read every line. CyberFag even admitted he reviewed it and found nothing. Once Google approves it for the Chrome Web Store (pending now), that's your third-party verification.

But honestly? The people scared of the code aren't going to use it anyway. The people who want it will.

if you block a user, and that user has started or starts a new thread, would we see the thread or not? i know i can (or think i can) block a particular thread but thats not the same thing.

For those who are worried, I just audited the code and it literally does exactly what it says, stores some data in local storage, users/threads/forums you selected to block, and then just modifies the page based on that data and handles the actions. Not even the updater does anything but check to see if a new version exists then tells you to download the new one and re-add it.

Only thing that stuck out is that the permissions say all urls but the description does technically say "all vbulletin" sites, but it seems the selectors are scoped to just gfy's theme. Not bad, just means the plugin could break if used on another vbulletin board, so it might be better to scope that down to just gfy.com.

Other than that, a massive improvement from my original script.

GFY's version of vbulletin is old and janky. Uses a weird SEO plugin that changes the regular vbulletin post ID into keywords n shit....

I actually used yours, think I still have it kicking around in my cloud files somewhere. was handy for blocking the handful of users who either couldn't compose their thoughts into one post or grasp the intricacies of the multi-quote function
