Resivoir Dogs. What did you think?

Well?

I'm sure we've all seen it 100 times.

What did you think of this movie?

LiveDose 06-23-2003 10:56 AM

:thumbsup

"can you hear me now???"

ronaldo 06-23-2003 10:57 AM

I can honestly say that it's the only movie I've ever seen with a scene so disturbing that I couldn't watch.

Good movie though.

Marie 06-23-2003 10:57 AM

Great movie!!

The beginning is the best part!

Trixie 06-23-2003 10:58 AM

CLASSIC!! Mr. White is such a beautiful tragic figure. And Michael Madsen makes me WET!!!

I saw Res. Dogs in a theatre in Greece where you can drink beer while you're watching a movie so it has a special place in my heart. There were greek subtitles on it and nobody except us laughed at the beginning reference to Monster Trucks or whatever the fuck it is. Hehehe.

Hammer 06-23-2003 11:06 AM

Awesome movie. One of my favorites and it's the one that started it all for movies like Pulp Fiction, another personal favorite.

Rich 06-23-2003 11:07 AM

It's in the top 5 movies of all time, no question.

Evil Chris 06-23-2003 11:07 AM

What's the true meaning of "Like a Virgin"?

lagwagon 06-23-2003 11:08 AM

Tipsy 06-23-2003 11:09 AM

I don't but too many films on DVD (as much as anything else they get boring quickly for the most part). However I bought resovoir dogs.

kewldudeinla 06-23-2003 11:09 AM

?? Which scene was that? Maybe you should watch it, because if it's the scene I'm thinking of, they don't even show it. Tarantino pans away so it's all in your mind. (If that's the scene you're thinking of)

Ok, how many people were convinced by Mr. Pink's idea of not tipping? LOL

eraman 06-23-2003 11:12 AM

I like Mr. Pinks ideas and views on tipping...

Buh-Hoe 06-23-2003 11:12 AM

THAT MOVIE SUCKED MY FUCKIN CACK! it was prdictable and confusing. If you want to see a good movie, I suggest Showgirls.
That movie made me laugh and cry. A classic and a master piece.

So you didn't like it because you didn't actually understand it then?

It was the cutting off the ear thing. I'm sure they didn't show it, it was just the idea of it.

Actually, that's NOT the only thing I couldn't watch. I couldn't watch the JACKASS clowns papercutting their tongues. Fucking gave me shivers.

No, I understood it perfectly. It's just that as soon as they named that one guy "Mr. Pink", I knew the movie would be totally gay!

Why couldn't they have named him "Mr. Purple" I mean WTF?

:moon

smack 06-23-2003 11:19 AM

i love the way tarintino does his timeline. at first it was a little hard to follow, but once you get used to how he jumps back and forth without warning it makes fr a great movie..

Yeah, he really knows his non-linear editing style. I really like that style. :)

A guy I used to work with tried to edit it in a linear format and he said it wasn't as interesting.

nemesis 06-23-2003 11:22 AM

One of the best movies I have ever seen.

d0se 06-23-2003 11:30 AM

I've actually watched Showgirls more times than Reservoir Dogs . . . Showgirls helps me get life into perspective.

There is a guy who writes for The Stranger (or something) in Seattle and he gives actual lectures on Showgirls -- puts on the movie and does a full feature commentary. He wanted to date my houseboy but that's a different story.

Bex 06-23-2003 12:13 PM

I liked the movie. And just for the record, it is spelled "Reservoir Dogs". :winkwink:

neuromancer 06-23-2003 12:17 PM

Very good movie. I recently picked it up on dvd.

Buff 06-23-2003 12:18 PM

Not enough bloodshed for me.

adamneve 06-23-2003 12:19 PM

MissyMiss 06-23-2003 12:22 PM

No matter how many times that you see it, it is always a great movie. I always see something new also, that I didnt see the last time I saw it.

The ear part gets me every time, even though I know whats going to happen.

Criminals turn me on, the scummier and bloodier the better

hehe Michael Madsen...

I was in line at the bank one day, and this chick behind me is bitching about her ex husband to whoever would listen. So I turn around and smiled at her - big mistake.

Next thing I know she is going on about her ex, "you know who Michael Madsen is right?" hahaha

This woman had such a loud mouth, his ex wife, saying how what a motherfucker he was and he was in europe filming the new bond movie... how she had already filed a suit against him again for not paying child support to his two sons, about his drinking and drug problems, blah blah blah. Everyone was watching and it was really funny. Even funnier she seemed pretty lit herself.

It was really strange, and I cannot think about old Madsen anymore without recalling this bank incident. I was next to her at the teller windows and she was trying to access his accounts, it was classic.

Reservoir Dogs is one of my favorite movies too. The soundtrack used to be on the juke box at an old favorite bar. Good times.

:)

Haha, nice story :)

High Quality 06-23-2003 12:52 PM

It sucks.

Pulp fiction is a work of art. RD is worth shitting on. Terrible film. Amazing that the same director can create seemingly opposite quality work within only a few years.

:2 cents:

Hollywood freaks are everywhere. I see them all the time. There are more fuckin freaks in this city than anywhere.

This past weeked alone I saw dozens of them. From silly goths to used up old pamela anderson wanna be's, they live and die here. Coat-tail riders.

and my consolation will be green and sticky, puff puff :winkwink:
