Brad I am so tired of chasing your ass around to find out about how good you are at fishing thing.

I just bought a new house with a lake near by.
I'll be doing a lot of fishing and probaly catch jackshit.

Lets go! I kinda love the sport myself. I got towed Sunday tho and had to take the boat in for repairs on Monday, but then again my car crapped out at the marina and had to get it to car repair place and when I grabbed my cell to have somebody come get me, my cell was dead because my ex-wife of 1.5 years happend to remember when the contract expired and she cut the phone off.

Back to fishing.....

I'll go if someone arranges me a trip while we're in Florida, I'll gladly pay up.
I have no gear and I don't have any talent though.

But I'd really want to try fishing there, I've never fished in the ocean.

I don't even recognize non-european fish..
I can tell there's a salmon there, but the rest are a mystery to me.
I want to go fishing... If nobody's gonna take me, are there some day-trips for stupid tourists on which I could go? :)

I just fished out of Newport Beach, CA yesterday. Caught 3 of the biggest Leopard Sharks I have ever seen and about 100 sand and calico bass, a halibut and hooked a 90 pound bat ray.

I also caught a 4 pound sheephead and released 2 huge calicos. One was 5 - 6 pounds and the other was 4 pounds.

My dad, Dave from suckthis7 and myself.... I am sore today... what a wimp huh?

Heading back to Cabo for my bachelor party, would love to hook a marlin.

holy shit, I thought i've caught big fish before, but not even anything a 50th of that.

Lee, my addiction is bad. Just too hot here for 2-3 months to do much fishing. I am seriously considering buying a place in Alaska to spend a month or two in a year.

Gawd, tell me about the addiction. The summer has sucked kinda too and its always something that wrecks the day out, either wrong tide, wrong wind direction, wrong moon or something.

I love it myself, and I am all saltwater inshore. Don't have the body strength of abdominal muscles [lots of operations] to wrestle a billfish but man would I love to hook into a dolphin or something.

I bet some go out deepsea fishing on a charter down in Fla during Internext.

I am into catching snook and redfish. We clean em', we eat em.

You guys ever hear of catch and release?

I've caught about 10 marlin in Cabo, and the only one we ever brought back to dock was back in '84 - Cabo was tiny then and the locals relied on the catches for their food.

So who's going fishing during the show?! I want IN!

John, the captain decided to keep the fish, I think they sell the meat to locals for extra $. They did not even ask us. Freshwater fishing, I do all catch and release. Even saved the life of a turtle this weekend!

Do you hunt? Hunting season will be here before you know it, and there is no releasing, just shooting!

Really, you can fish for dolphins?
I always thought they were endangered or something, kinda like with whales?

Edit: Yeah, I know whales are not fish :)

The dolphin I am talking about does not look like flipper, its the ugly bull nose one. Its also known as Maui-Maui in the stores.

Ideally, don't kill what ya not going to eat. Now when it comes to shark and catfish or some other junkfish, I may not be so gentle on the release :-)

Ketil, there is a fish called a dolphin, not the mammal version. Can we use you for bait in cabo?

depending on the area they are dorado or mahi-mahi . . . but some people do call them dolphin.

They are bright blue/green/yellow and are fairly small 10-20 pounds but sometimes get up to almost 100 pounds. They are great to eat and put up a great fight - lots of jumping.

Yeah, some still do that in Cabo. I hate to see it because the area is under enough pressure already from the longliners.

I don't hunt. Never saw much sport in shooting a deer with a rifle. Or a bird with a shotgun.

Actually - and honestly - it was one of the best trips I've ever been on. I've been to Final Four's before, but with it being in New Orleans it really didn't hurt to lose. Ok, it hurt a little bit but it was still an awesome trip.

Nothing like a house on a lake, I fucking love it. Very quiet and peaceful 99% of the time. Want to take the jetski or boat out, just walk 50 feet down to the dock.

Just had some custom cabinets built on my dock for TV/DSS so I can fish and watch football!

yea its a fun rilvary and i thought this was our year for basketball. Big 12 - best football conference in the nation, ACC looks like they are trying to do the same thing as the Big 12 but they are missing one team. I love austin/houston by the way(even though i can't wear my sooners gear down there)!
