ccbill declined BOTH my Visa cards
Just adding to the "WTF" posts about ccbill lately...
Tried a standard Visa credit card issued by one of the "big 4" Australian banks. Available credit $AUD1,129 (about $USD750) "Card declined by bank. Please try a different card" This card has been used to sign up with ccbill before. Ok, second try, my Visa Debit card. I think it's called Visa Checking in the USA, it's linked directly to your bank account. Available balance $AUD1,452 (about $USD950) "Card declined by bank. Please try a different card" Again - this card has been used with ccbill before. :helpme |
Good.. ccbill is protecting itself against scammers
|
you know crocodile dundee?
|
thats not to good.
discrimination against us aussies :Graucho hopefully its not to common :) |
yo man. i doubt downunder has been added to the ccbill blacklist. i do know that they are picky as shit though. your info on the form has to match exactly to your banks info. we had a german dude that got declined cuz he had some weird dots over his u. he removed them and it went through.
what were you signing up for anyway? |
rowan, your card could have been declined for many reasons. If it was declined by the bank, then when we tried to submit it to the bank, the bank said ?no?
|
I put in the proper data both times. Double and triple checked it even. :) Correct billing address, correct name (same as it appears on the card - no funny characters), correct card#, correct CVV2, correct expiry. I have never had either card declined by ccbill before. They've been used for a total of 6 initial transactions (and a few rebills) through ccbill in the past year or so.
I doubt that ccbill has given us Aussies the flick, but it seems strange that a couple of Australian people have had 4 different cards - from 3 different (and major) Australian banks - declined in the past few days. |

THat's not so funny - my cards incl. business cards - are declined when issuing banks are closed i.e. outside business hours. That's scary. Including cards from Finland, Viro, Russia and Germany. Fuck. Just wondering how much saaes is lost becouse of that... too much.
Funny - at lest my finnish and german cards works when local banks are open. Too strange ??? |

mark will have to answer the credit card stuff. i'm boggled.. |
hi ryan, hope all is well
There are many good reasons and different factors that can cause a card to be declined. I would list them all, but I don?t want to compromise the integrity of our fraud scrubbing system. We want good transactions and we want to minimize risky transactions?but the fact remains that if we submit a transaction to your bank and your bank declines it for whatever reason, our hands are tied? Bottom line is that our interests are aligned with our webmasters. We only lose money off of declined cards; we make money when our clients make sales. I am going home now, should be back online in a bit |
pay your bills

cards issued by a couple of the australian banks just will not get through the system.. ccbill has been particularly harsh to aussie cards for several years... the national is particularly bad
|
Can it happen the other way around, with the bank indiscriminately blocking transactions that are initiated through ccbill?
|
I suggest you try again tomorrow with your tests.
Sometimes with the wonderful interent... bank connections are not fully made "in a timely manner" and a decline is quickly issued. Could also be a problem with your local bank. (I am not defending CCBILL... not a client) |

When I was using CCbill I used to sign up to my site using my credit cards as I was always suspicious of their rediculous scrub rate. Some days my card would be accepted then others it would not. I used to be driven crazy by the constant decline emails from CCbill.
As soon as I switched to Verotel (yes I know you will say they won't be around for long) my signups % had a huge jump and no increase in chargebacks. It is a pity that CCbill has pretty much a monopoly now as they can scrub even tighter now. Spooky www.CheatingXXXWife.com/extremecash/index.html |
Following this up...
Signup was successful today using the Visa credit card. |
Why would you pay for porn when there is so much free stuff out there?

Yeah I have 3 credit cards from different aussie banks and CCBill declines them all. All the other processors I have tried accept them.... so its not the bank.
