How long do you think it'll be before some actor sells license tto a CGI likeness of themself so they can continue doing movies even after they die? You see shit like Final Fantasy or Golem on LOTR and ytou realize that in 10 years or maybe even less it'll get so good that you may not be able to readily tell who is real and who is CGI. I can see Jack Nicholson selling his CGI likeness for $20 million. =]

How about CGI porn? If you had extreme content but they were all CGI people would it still be "obscene" legally? I'd have to think yeah since you can't even have a grown woman pretending to be underage in a video, but it does raise an interesting point anyway.

Very interesting and real idea. Considering Coca Cola ( I think) has used Humphrey Bogart and John Wayne already.

Well at least on the porno/CP front, I think the framework is already being established with the ban on "simulated CP" or whatever the popular term is...

I bet you are right though about virtual likenesses being big business.

Dave Thomas from Wendy's has something like that going on. After he died they are allowed to keep using his image and name but only within certain restrictions. Like "We make 'em Dave's way", etc.

First time I thought about this was the day John Candy died.
I predicted he will be the first one they CG Animate in a full length movie.

Who knows though. :)

Final Fantasy was a CGI masterpiece. But it was a TOTAL MAJOR disaster at the Box Office. Don't expect to see a CGI movie trying to act like a real movie soon.
