A photographer needs to have a one on one relationship with the model no distractions, a boyfriend or husband hovering around the studio is unnecessary. I don't know many people who work better with somebody, a stranger, looking over their shoulder. That's the artistic professional reason.

The practical reason, and this has nothing to do with Mia Fox, is that you're not exactly dealing with the most respectable people.
You know what a suitcase pimp is? Things go missing. Some are druggies with criminal records.

Agents hang around shoots sometimes.
