programs that count front page hits
 

I see many threads about it during the last few weeks, about the fact that programs that count front page hits are doing shity convert rates.
What is the story with counting 2nd, 3rd or 4th page hits? are you guys happy just to see good convert rate, even if it is not the case?

We at pussycash count front page hits and I think that an affiliate that would like to know the real value of his traffic should be honest with himself and face reality, if you convert 1:20k then that is your convert rate, you shouldn't go around telling everyone else that you convert 1:250, and at the same time knowing that it is a 3rd page count.

If you want to test a program that convert 1:270 on average that count front page hits, feel free to test us out.

Actually it's better to see first, second and join page hits, but as other programs do not have it, seeing their second page much better ratios makes you think the programs with the first page hit convert bad, when in fact this is not the case.

Well, the First, Second and join page hit, is a good idea, but it will tell you nothing about your traffic.
The second and the join page are all in the hands of the sponsor, if he has a good tour then you will get a high convert rate from First to second and second to join.

But I think that the webmaster should check only first page hits, because this is the only thing that he has control over.

After all if you send the traffic from a blind link you shouldn't expect gread convert rate, but if you are sending the traffic from a SE with and the traffic is very targeted,what do you care about second and 3rd and join hits?

I prefer all 3 page hits, because I can see how good a site tour is, how to better write my text links, etc.

PimpRoll also counts front index.html hits.

I know it's rare and 8 out of 10 people only cound 2nd page uniques.

But our conversions are still always rocking:thumbsup

we count and display both.

front page hits arent usually a good measure of a sites convertability imho however.

We count first only.

this is why we count first and second page since we don't have tour pages we don't lose any of your traffic.

The program in my sig counts, 1st raw, 1st unique, and 2nd page unique hits.

Most programs only count 2nd.
