Can Old threads not be locked ?
 

Its really getting annoying now, clicking on a thread and finding out that its 2 years old. Could all old threads not be locked after a month or so to stop this ?

Often it comes in handy to be able to add to an old thread.

Having said that, you're right: Some idiots are abusing the system right now.
