Take into consideration that their building are not like ours. We have had a huge earth quake in SF and IN LA and 70,000 people did not die.

Nothing of this magnitude would happen in LA from just an earthquake, no matter how bad it was because a very high percentage of the buildings in California are built with earthquakes in mind. Now if a Tsunami hit as a result of the earthquake, it could be real bad. In Iran, the buildings just weren't made as well as the ones in CA.

Of course, I do agree that what happened in Iran is a tragedy though.
