Man beats neighbour with neighbour's artificial leg
An American man has been arrested after taking off a neighbour's artificial leg and beating him with it.
The incident happened in Fredericksburg, Virginia after victim Michael Clapp discovered a bottle of medicine missing from his flat.
Clapp, 38, suspected his neighbour, Rodney Prophitt, of being behind the theft and went next door to confront him.
A police spokesman said Prophitt knocked Clapp to the ground, pulled off his artificial leg and struck him with it several times.
"At some point, Mr. Clapp was able to grab his leg back, get back to his apartment and call police."
Clapp was treated at at hospital for a broken nose and other facial injuries, says the Free Lance-Star.
Police charged Prophitt, 27, with assault and theft.
