To Skim Or Not To Skim
I'd love some feedback on the eternal quaestions. As you know I have recently started a new tgp using the X-3 software. I've watched the trader stats for a few days and the same question keeps bugging me.
I am getting only 4500 hits to the index but sending out as few as 1500 approx. So this makes me ask, how do I send out more hits (besides getting more in the first place). So, I surfered around and see many tgp's skimming traffic off thier gallery listings. I would like some feedback as to if this is required or can a site be built without doing this. I am using 5 or so hardcoded blind links but these are easily spotted. What do you think? With a site as small as mine, Do I skim or not? ------------------ LiquidThumbs Where Quality Counts ARS - Offshore - Mojo - Join4Free - Topcash |
I like your site except for some link that opens an endless loop of pop up windows.
That's not going to make me want to go back. |
I looked at your site and your sponsor links outnumber your gallery links 2:1. Skimming aside, the easiest way to raise your outclicks is to give the surfers more to click on. I am not familiar with the features of the X-3 script, but most scripts offer a link tracking option that will show you which links are clicked the most/least, take the most popular links and move them to the top of the list, i.e. your surfers like teen links the most, fill the top of your gallery list with teen links. As for skimming, I would suggest 70%-75% as the skim ratio, where 70%-75% will go to the actual gallery. If you go lower that that you start to enter the cj2 world, where most of your links will be blind http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif
Hope this helps. |
