Classified: Want to buy Canon 10d

Looking for a Canon 10D body in good shape. Also the batt/grip and a decent lens * not the kit 18-55 lens. I can only deal with items located in CANADA. I'm not getting fucked with customs fee's

Cheers,

I had a look, its pretty slim pickings.

I was thinking of selling my 10D body on Ebay and upgrading to a 20D. I don't have the grip and I wouldn't be selling any lenses.

It's a great camera, I really used it only on vacation in August:

If you shoot regularly, buy 2 and make sure and get the warranty. They don't tell you anywhere until you ask to get it fixed that they only last about 50,000 images.

Our fifth one in 2years died today. Off to BHPhoto in the am, and using the spare.

The shutter only lasts 50k images?

Do you guys ever miss spot metering on those cameras? I am thinking about getting the 20D this week but not happy about giving up spot metering.

Canon10d has a close version of the spot meter system with a bracketing system in the lens...not like the old Canon or Nikon 35mm, but once you get used to it, it's a much better system

Gregg, you got 1k posts dude :)

Also, what exactly did you mean by "it only lasts 50,000 images"?

Shutter?

When the first one went, we didn't have an extended warranty, and Canon told us the electronics or something was only good for 50k. We get from 50-70k on them and they always die. I go with BHPhoto and the extended warranty and never have problems replacing them as they die.
