Sadly, it looks like Bush will win re-election as there is only a week to go and Kerry leads in ZERO polls. This is a frightening prospect for us adult webmasters as we know Bush will stack the Supreme Court with his kind of people hostile to our aims.

The national polls don't mean much but keep in mind three things: 1) they are in a statistical dead heat - within the polls margin of error; 2) Bush tops out at 48% which is bad, very bad because the undecideds break for the challenger (as much as a 80/20 split predicted) and 3) electoral college predictions swing from Bush to Kerry and back again - it's a dead even heat out there with the legions of newly registered voters carrying a ton of weight in this election.

Kerry could pull this off and Bush and co. are running very scared right now.

After Clinton started an unprovoked attack against Serbia/croatia, there were all KINDS of contracts awarded to Halliburton without any kind of bidding process.

I've been watching the polls for the past year fuelcell, daily; I am starting to conclude Bush will win the pop. vote and around 290 electoral votes as it stands today.

And it sucks to no end because it will hurt our industry like you wouldn't believe. Just wait and see. Its a harsh harsh blow for us.

well thats good news but its the ONLY poll I've seen lately that has Kerry leading Bush in Pop vote, out of at least 30 or so. Worse, almost all polls agree that Bush is slighty ahead in Ohio and Florida yet Kerry remains ahead in Pennsylvania, which I think Kerry will take. But if he doesn't win in one of the other two, he will most certainly lose.

So why didn't you complain when Clinton was doing the exact same thing with the exact same company? Cheney was making a lot more money with Halliburton then than he is now, BTW.

Cheney has stock options worth over $20 Million in Halliburton. WTF are you talking about? If you don't see that as a conflict of fuckin interest, you are in dreamland. Not only that, it was a lone bid contract.

Fuck I wish Clinton was back in; we'd have a President that actually believes in the first amendment and good appointees to the Supreme Court.

The contracts during the Clinton administration were no bid contracts.

Halliburton has also won many bid processes.

Clinton doesn't want Kerry to win because he wants Hilary in there in 2008.

Regarding the polls - I can't put much faith in any of them, at the moment.

There is a lot of speculation that the group of 'those who don't usually bother to vote' are heavily polarized by this election. If that bears out, the polls will end up as an extremely unreliable indicator of where things really stand.

The key is simple - vote. Don't get apathetic, or assume a win for Bush. Just vote.
