What movie really made you think?
 

What was a movie that you have watched that really fucked with your head. One that you had to wait until the ending so you knew what the fuck was going on. I just watched The Usual Suspects again recently and now I want more good movies that keep you guessing. Spam me people !

SAW

Saw had a bit of an unexpected twist at the end, but the acting sucked, the characters sucked, and the theme was bashed so many times into your head that the ending suffered, because it was obvious what the killer was getting at.

I think se7en was a million times better.

Have yet to see Saw, have heard mixed things about it. It's on the must see list though

the game is a bad ass movie, BASIC is pretty weird, ive seen it like 8 times and i still see stuff i didnt see before

The Magdalene Sisters :1orglaugh Seriously, this movie is really something.

I think "Vanilla Sky" falls into this category.... not a typical Tom Cruise movie and its definitely thought provoking.

Fight Club was good, but you could see it was kind of going on before the ending, good movie still.

Vanilla Sky was blah to me.

The Game was very good.

The last good suspense-thriller for me was The Usual Suspects, sad as it is. (I love the movie; I am disappointed that nothing else as cleaver as TUS has been produced/released.)

It seems like new releases are being dummied down so not to confuse the crowd too much. I enjoy foreign, low-budget and independent films, as they seem to be more of a meal for the melon.

Momento was a very good movie, liked it a lot.

Req for a Dream, you knew she'd be taking it in the ass for the smack.

SAW sucked ass. What a disaster. Worst. Acting. Ever.

I saw the new Spongebob Movie on it's opening day. The writing and character development left me breathless, and the scenes involving David Hasslehoff left me pondering the course of my own life for days afterwards...

Definitely The Game. Although I have a hard time watching it since all I can think about is 'how did this old prick get Catherine Zeta Jones?'

Here's my list of movies that kind of open up my eyes to stuff and some make you think a lot

requiem for a dream :: about junkies very fucked up movie sober let alone high.

Pi :: about a guy that works on pi and thinks it could be used to find the pattern in the stock market but pi turns him nuts from trying to figure it out so he sticks a drill in his head.

Groove :: about the rave scene in cali I think how ecstasy can change lifes, very good movie.

I can't think of any others right now I'm posting from my mobile phone but those are some good movies.

The Others was definately a good movie. Not the ending I expected at all.

I remember seeing a cheepo production many, many years back and the film really hit home the guts that some people have - Based on a true life story, the film was called "Who will love my kids when I'm gone"
(If not exactly, the tittle is very close to that)

There are so many hidden elements in that movie, you can't get them all.

LOL ...Yah, like WTF is BP saying ... 'yeh lik digs?'
I classified that as action film.

Now Trainspotting, as old as it is, has many hiding meanings, such as Ren jumping off the fence or going head first in to a toilet ... as usual, the book is much better.
Still an average flick.
