2257: Implications on "other" services
There is enough discussion about the implications on adult paysites. But I wonder how 2257 will effect other (free) forms of online adult entertainment in the future
Interested to give your 2 ct? How will 2257 effect the services mentioned below. Their possible existence and how they have to change. a) Adult YAHOOGROUPS with explicit pictures b) Adult BLOGS with explicit pictures c) Sites the invite users to upload their personal pics d) Dating sites that allow explicit pictures of members e) Videochat (when you perform explicit in realtime) If wonder how Yahoo will react. There is so much free explicit stuff in groups that will never be complient. So they might forbid picture storing - forwarding might be ok. Or they will go on with their deletion of groups (like they do right now - for whatever reason - could not find a pattern. On the long run - will this mean that "free" online porn will not come from the us but from off-shore companies (like casinos)? Does this mean that the big us online producers will eventually benefit from the new regulations (because there will be less competition and they WILL be complient)? Does this mean that a lot of US small business affiliate marketeers will go out of business? gfisch |
Please do a search on the board. This has been discussed to death, but I do commend you on not spamming for your first post, and on top of that making it a business related post!

Crazy to read my first post from June 2005 again and thinking about what has changed in all those years. YahooGroups (without stored porn), Ning (without adult content), ... (fill in, if you like). On the other hand you have (again) a Yahoo product (tumblr) which has more super-categorized porn then EVER. And we have Tube sites that are great for pay sites or are destroying pay sites? And we have Panda and Penguin that are "changing" the SEO landscape dramatically. And we have (...) What has changed for you in the last 9 years. What do you think will be changing next? Maybe somebody wants to throw in his 2 cents now (hint) :-) Regards gf |
