I'm surprised to find there isn't more talk about password thieves here.

The guys at www.passwordforum.com are stealing passes to most of the sites discussed here and then charging for access to the passes via paypal.

The IP of the site is 64.38.245.18 , which according to Arin is a Cavecreek IP. Doesn't Cavecreek run CCBill? What is up with this.

Enquiring minds want to know.

I've seen this page before. Its surprising what they get away with. They even have a section on there that teaches you how to hack into password sites. for the $ people pay to get a gold account there or whatever, isnt it much better to just actually pay for the sites?

I just sent Cavecreek an email expressing my concern with this. Basically I said that as a long itme customer of their I don't think that it in their best interest or the interest of their customers to assist in password theft. Especially since some of the site posted on these boards are CCBill/Cwie accounts.

We are in this business to SELL memberships to the sites hacked by members of that forum.

Now, when those same sites can be accessed for free because of some forum, this puts a dent in our wallets. That site has a HUGE # of daily visitors & members & this can be damaging to our sales, & it also hurts the membership sites member retention ratio..

Granted you are right and most experienced paysite owners do take the neccessary steps to protect themselves.

The issue here early in these posts though was the fact that the sites in question are hosted by the same company that is one of the largest billing companies in this business. For webmasters like myself that have done 100's of thousands of dollars in business with them we look at this as being a very serious.

I went to passwordforum.com and a number of the sites listed on there are CWIE/CCBill customers. To have the company that does your hosting and/or billing in essence provide a forum for this activity is wrong and should not be permitted by them.

I have already received a reply to my email that I sent to them, they have told me that "(they will) look into legal/contractual issues and what our course of action to take"

I have been doing business with CWIE/CCBill for over 3 years and I know from my past history with the company that they will address this matter. I expect that I will hear back from them again tommorrow when the upper managment staff will be there.

Now I am sure that there are plenty of other hosts which take their business and I know that there are 100's of other password sites out here, but as site owners we do what we can nto only to protect our sites security, but also to make it tougher for the hackers to conduct business out here.

Remember folks this is a business and a lucrative one for many of us. When you conduct yourself in a professional manner you get the results you want.

this is the most fucked up website I ever seen !

I used to get nailed by ultrapasswords.com all the time. So I called his host. Ended up bullshiting on the phone with him for 2 hours I'd say.

He told me about the webmaster, some 20 year old dude in college, (i have it all in my notes) AnyThey have been sued by perfect 10 (i think). Dudes making the Bling Bling. Ended up paying only like 10g and running their banner for a tear so the story goes.

Now get this:
Ultrapasswords script suposedly runs on auto scanning all the password sites, forums, etc.....Collecting the user/passes and updating his list all automatically.

Now still I am bullshiting with this guy and he tells me I should be happy for getting all the traffic. After thinking about it for a while he was right. If you have the correct software in place this is nothing but traffic. I know webmasters that even post passes on trading sites to get the traffic.

These sites probably build decent bookmark traffic so I'm sure you tgp pimps can convert it. It's pretty decent amounts of traffic too.

Also another note:
CCBill sites get hit harder that Ibills from what I have seen. I think this has to do with the fact that the surfer can pick his own username and password.
