God Damn spyware
I've been infected with some spyware for a while now.
what it does is set my computer to use their nameserver wich redirects a bunch of domains used by gallery makers to a bunch of different sites looking like TGPs: example of redirected domain: wannawatch.com from TCG is one of the many example of where they redirect the traffic: http://www.gnufind.org/tsen.php?id=dname (visit at your own risk) their sites have either IPs 85.255.xxx.xxx or 69.50.xxx.xxx so I'm stuck with this, I cant review my galleries properly cause of this and its making me frustrated. If anyone can help me somehow Please do, cause this really fucking sucks, im thinking of formatting my system. |

Only one I've found to get rid of them all is Spy Sweeper. You can do a free online system check on this link:
http://www.webroot.com/services/spyaudit_03.htm Info on Spy Sweeper is on this link: http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/spysweeper/ |
To get rid of it 100% and protect from future infection

You should look into using a non-administrator user for your every day computing. Most people are using the net with an admin account in XP or Windows 2000 :(
It's usually as simple as creating a user level account & start using that instead. Of course, your computer would have to be clean to begin with for that to be effective. Also consider using a hardware firewall & software level firewall. For more information about running non-admin accounts see: http://nonadmin.editme.com/ Good luck. |

One of the big things, is to try and figure out where you go it from.

Yeah, that's bad news. If you connect your computer to the net, you should only be using the administrator account to install new software, or permit access of existing software to other users (like your main non-admin user). |
