I've been playing it off and on the past week. It's alright. Although it tends to crash badly fairly often and if you have a radeon card getting it to work with your computer can be a real pain. 25 steps and 3 reboots.. I'm sure all paying customers want to go through that to get it working.

Supposed to be a patch out this week for it though.

Works just fine here. Then again, I do have an ATI card. :] It's pretty nice, although right now I still like 3 more. But I have a feeling that might change with a bit more playing..

Ahh I need to upgrade before it will run, but I'm torn between CivIV and AoEIII. Why oh why did they have to come out at the same time??

one of my buddies is a civ addict. he is pretty happy with iv so far.

it's worth the money, i've been playing it and it's cool. I just need some people to get it so I can play online with them

I'd get AOE3 first if I was you. Its a lot more polished. Civ4 needs some time to work the bugs out with patches - I think they basically rushed it out for the xmas season.

It's been a long time since software has caused my computer to hard reboot, and civ4 did it twice. :)

I'm thinking of getting it. I'm playing AOE III right now and some good old Pirates! .. Like these games :)

it's out already? might have to check it out...

i've been playing it recently. love civ games :)

I tried it, but getting a blue screen of death every hour of play isn't really very good for a computer I need for work. I uninstalled it.

Ive read excellent reviews about it. But I hate the turns game :)

Thanks for the advice! I'm a civ fan from way back, but AoEIII looks way too cool to pass up.

It's true, I haven't seem a BSOD in a LONG time. This game causes one every hour or two. It's fun, but probably only for sentimental reasons.
