Maxtor One-Touch series rocks.

I have over a dozen... no problems with any.

They have some 500GB drives for a great price now!

I would recommend just buying a good standard sized hard drive and get an external USB or Firewire case for it. I got mine on sale with rebates from COMPUSA for around $60 for a 180gb drive and USB case.

We use 300 gig Western Digitals from www.newegg.com, plus the Venus external enclosures. You can get 2 drives, plus the enclosures for about 250.00 delivered. They are always having sales, the drives are hot swappable, and they run relatively silent, but slightly warm..Never had much luck with Maxtors or Seagates, but we used rackmount drives at the time. Haven't tried them in external enclosures yet.

I need something myself. I was thinking in the 150 gig range. Thanks for the info fellas.
