Went to my first horse race last night.
 

With another industry guy, up in bumfuck west virginia. Put $10 on a horse "to win" not knowing i could put it on "to place". My future elmers glue came in second, man i was pissed. My buddy put $3 on the winner & won $45.

I can see how people get hooked on it...it's pretty damn cool watching those tiny people on horses....& the stampede sound rocks.

It's the Sport of Kings. The Triple Crown races are right around the corner and the Breeder's Cup towards the end of the year is one of the great sporting events.

they are fun as hell to watch.

yea we stood like 2 feet from the finish line....it really was cool to watch those giant animals booking it
