who was the first really big solo girl?
 

I'm doing an article about solo girl sites for webmaster vault. I know Carol Cox's site was one of the first, but does anyone know who's site that was run by a program was the first to really get huge? I know girls like Brooke and Raven and Tiffany Teen all have big sites, but who was before them?

Any info you can give would be much appreciated. Also, if you run a solo girl site and want to be a part of the story post here or hit me up and I'll mention you in it.

Thanks for the input guys. Carol is where my article starts. I guess I'm looking for the largest "polished" site that was started by and run by a program. I think Tawnee might be a good guess because she burst on the scene and seemed to be everywhere in a heartbeat.

i believe that carol was a swingers site though, not solo girl. i could be wrong. dugmor and the wildrose people i guess can tell you more. i don't remember that far back, but i could have sworn that carols site was swinger oriented.

Carol Cox was one of the first real single girl successes, you should hit up Danny he'll tell you who was around in the early days. Venus & Jeff, landofvenus.com has also been online for quite a while.

Yeah her site has always been a swingers site from what I have read. So she can not count in this since it is not a solo girl site. This is a hard question because it seems like no one really knows.

The early stuff was far better, I was on a campus with early penetration of broadband and I'd leave her on 24/7 on my bad ass 14 pound Toshiba laptop.

jennicam.org site was huge, traffic wise, her webcam was what mine was modeled after, but I did not like the ispy thing and found a company that made streaming software for pay per view sites who adapted it for me.

But Jenni was huge, even had a guest appearance on a TV show, was on a ton of those talk shows, she just did not capitalize on it, I think her site was like 5$ a month or 12$ a year, some stuff like that. She probably had the highest traffic site for a single girl/amateur site. Remember back then no one called themselves "solo girl" site, it was an amateur site. The new solo girl sites now days cant compare, traffic wise, to jennicam.

MikeAI was running single girl sites waaay back then. I think that's the first bunch I saw run by a company.
