Trixxxia 11-19-2006 01:02 PM

Maybe we should be putting a survey and have people actually copy, sign, send out a petition:

When you consented to this install of ***whatever spyware*** did/do you:
1) Actually read and understand the terms?
2) Actually 'click' something to say **Yes, I have read and understand the terms**
3) Enjoy someone else having control of your computer when you or anyone else in your family (kids included) surf the Internet?

If you answered NO to anyone of those questions - you should:
Print this page, sign and sent it to your local government agency (list of places you can complain):: link to a letter for them to print and send to their local government agency/BBB/whatever

Then you can go to this page to remove:

Scumware 1
Scumware 2
Scumware 3
Scumware 4

thats funny, now zango will be popping up on the warning page, i hate these fucks more and more the more i read this shit. will be installing the scripts to redirect zango users on my sites soon...

Brujah 11-19-2006 03:02 PM

Spybot Search and Destroy removes Zango. It's free. People already hear about it and will trust it. Why not just send them to download it, and protect themselves from not just Zango, but many other spyware products too.

Jim there and Smokey (I think it was) here came up with redirect suggestions within a day or two of each other. I cannot remember who was actually first and there have been several alternatives offered since.

They all have come up with good stuff and I am sure none of them did it for exposure or praise, I am sure they all did it because they truely wanted to help. Good for them and thanks for helping.

Well, if people just stopped allowing access to their sites to people with the Zango toolbar installed, there would be likely be a huge drop off. Imagine the entire internet where most of hte blogs, news sites, and such won't allow people with Zango or coolwebsearch to access their content until they remove the scumware.

That would be interesting.

User can "choose to install the toolbar" and we can "choose to decline them access to our content".

Nice.

Unlike some people, most of us can hear the sound of money leaving the business and not coming back... Zango ain't gonna do shit for the porn business, so why the heck should they make any money off it?

SmokeyTheBear 11-20-2006 12:54 AM

funny how they let zango walk all over them in the article

They put in quotes that the maker of the warning page "confessed" to making it a scare tactic page.. nice wording as if its a hoax... then they allowed them to do a "remote demonstration " here watch ill install it , yup went smoothly , lol
