LA Peeps - avoid the 405 by LAX
 

Just saw on the news that there was a wreck between 3 trucks, 2 of which were carrying HazMat, and there was a spill.

Location is S/B 405, just S/O El Segundo Blvd. That means if you have to go to LAX traffic is going to be killer. I would suggest Sepulveda, but it is probably packed as well.

N/B 405 is bound to be very slow with all the rubberneckers. So expect a couple hour delay.

They expect the freeway to be re-opened in 3 or 4 hours!

I think I will stay by the beach today.

Any news on the 105 in... always a way to route around traffic into LA...

Well, put it this way, the 105W is most likely going to be very backed up due to the increased traffic of those thinking the same way you are . . . let me find a live traffic link for you.

too bad if people lose patience and sidestreet, the 105 on the that end goes through Watts and South LA... I've been driving in LA for a decade and still manage to rarely take the 405... In LA we don't speak in distance... we speak in minutes...

If you live in the hood, then you probably have little reason to traverse the 405.

it looks like a mess. i cant imagine trying to get to LAX right about now.

Side streets are good to KK. She took them from Irvine back north on a friday at 3pm, she got home in just over an hour. I was stunned.

i think that strech of the 405 is the worst of it all there is always traffic right around there. between the 10 and the airport the FUCKIN WORST

yea same here in the bay area. the 80, 580, 880, 680 and other freeways are backed the fuck up going 1 mile in like 5-10 mins

vehicle traffic is at its peak right now

405 is the worst freeway to commute on! Thats for sure!
