New Eraser software - looking for partner

I'm planning to write a evidence remover type of a software, that removes cookies, history, plus bunch of other stuff. I would promote such a program myself, but my traffic and design skills lack. And so, I'm looking for someone that would do one of the following:
1.) Buy such a software from me
2.) Lease it, for ex. some amount per download or some amount per month
3.) Partner with me to promote such software, I will provide the software, all necessary scripting and some traffic, while the "partner" will design [or help design] the promotion page and provide more traffic.

If you run a affiliate program and would like to add such program to your portfolio, or if you would like to promote such a program independently by yourself [or with me] E-mail me at [ woj at wojfun.com ] so we can discuss this in more detail. I'm open to any suggestions and looking for both parties to benefit from this deal.

hey, quick hint:
copy the layout of internet eraser, they convert ! others have done it and made millions !!!

MiLo 07-23-2002 06:50 AM

woj, wrong board.

and if you don´t know why i´m saying this...
*hint: http://www.adult.com*

and yes, follow the words of Equinox, there was
a guy making a shitload of money doing that a few weeks ago..

X37375787 07-23-2002 06:57 AM

Copying is always the quickest way to money & fame. Others have done it, why not you ? Go ahead, I give you my approval.

woj 07-23-2002 07:00 AM

It seems like a decent idea, but isn't stealing at least half illegal? Then there is a problem that my traffic is somewhat limited.

I must still be half asleep [or slow] but I don't see how posting about a eraser kind of program is any worse than informing other webmasters about new ARS features.

MiLo gets the picture, so you should too.

it's a quarter illegal

Do your homework. The owner of *this* board owns the most successful eraser program on the net. Not a great place to be spamming this idea.

woj 07-23-2002 07:18 AM

Hmm, there is no mentioning of a program like that at adult.com Not that I don't trust you, but I there was no way I could have known that even if I did my "homework." Well, either way I'm as much of a competitor as ARS is. Actually I'm slightly better, as ARS is hurting their affilate program right now, while I could maybe possibly do it in the future. Unless Marc De and the owner of this board are close friends...

hmm, ever heard of eraser cash?

and ars buys large banners that rotate at the top of this site. might have something to do with it.

X37375787 07-23-2002 07:25 AM

people who are as ignorant as lil' woj joy always entertain me.

Hmmm, I just went to Adult.com...clicked on the chicks face in the upper right hand corner (where it says "webmasters click here"), and big as day there's a chick there advertising Eraser Cash.

*shrugs*

looks like lil woj joy didn't do a good job with his homework then lol

woj 07-23-2002 07:36 AM

Gee, maybe I didn't notice the ARS banners? And at least I'm posting something productive, unlike the guy who posted: "Poll: is this the dumbest poll of all?"
Equinox: I'm glad I can entertain you so easilly.
Deb: next time I'll download the entire site to my harddrive and do a text search for eraser, eliminator, discreet, private, etc. Some of us here don't have time to check the entire site.

X37375787 07-23-2002 07:43 AM

IMHO you should do some research, before you start your venture. No hard feelings, but I doubt that you will succeed with your eraser proggy.
good luck anyway.

woj 07-23-2002 07:49 AM

That's exactly why I'm looking for a partner, someone who is more familiar with the industry than I am. You can't be good at everything, that's why I'm looking for someone who would know what to do with such a program.

Why go through all of that? I didn't.
Instead of taking offense to my post, use it as a tool & learn from it. The next time you consider doing your homework, just click on "webmasters" to find out what a particular sponsor has to offer. That's my helpful hint for the day. Enjoy! :)

woj 07-23-2002 09:27 AM

No offense taken. It's just that some things are not as obvious to some as they are to others. Who would have thought that this particular affiliate program, owns the most succesfful evidence eraser program? The first time I actually saw an adult sponsor offer this kind of a program was when ARS started offering it. It might have been smart to see who else offers a program like this, but why? The chances that the owner of this board owns a succesfull program of this type seemed pretty slim. Also, why do your own research when you can just rely on research of someone bigger and more familiar with the industry. Obviously if ARS decided to start a program like that, there is money to be made.

Woj, no offense, but you are a little too late. The owner of this board owns a very successful evidence eliminator called http://erasercash.com. He also gives away cars, something I doubt you will be able to compete with. You coming to this board talking about your idea is like someone going into McDonalds and asking if anyone wants Burger King. Kind of rude. Before you come to the board with your ideas, do some research...
-rosey

woj 07-23-2002 10:27 AM

I don't think it's quite the same. It's more like if McDonalds had a message board inside for people to post their comments on and I posted a guide about making the best hamburgers. Surely someone could use this guide to start a new burger joint, but they could easilly do it without it. Same way, if someone wanted to start a new eraser software, they could easilly find a programmer to do it for them.

Also, do people actually want prices, promotions, and free stuff? Do you really want that car? or would you rather have better conversions or make more money per sale?

Eraser cash sells for $100 and they give $45/sale. I could offer software with the same and additional features for 80%+ profit going to the webmaster. Which program would you rather promote then? $45 per sale, plus a chance to win a car or $80/sale and no car. Or perhaps coversions might be higher if the program sells for $50 instead of $100? With some clever software I could even pay webmasters to promote software that's given away for free [ that might piss quite a few people off so it's not seriously considered yet ]

hm...Yes people want prices promotions and free stuff...who wouldnt want a $30,000 car. Shit even if I sold it for $20,000. Even if your conversions kicked ass, and I made $80 per sale, it would still take me over 2200 sales to be worth the price of the car, and im sure people would agree with me.

RockDaddy 07-23-2002 11:51 AM

woj,

Do your thing!
You may or may not get as big as Eraser Cash but there
is nothing wrong with going for it. Eraser Cash was not
the first privacy program but they have done well with it, so could
you.

Good luck,
RD

Alky 07-23-2002 12:05 PM

I dont understand this whole copying someones idea bullshit...
I'm not trying to take sides but its like saying i have a teen niche site and I get mad because someone else wants to do it also.

Or like saying I made the first TGP and nobody else is allowed to have one.

mike.

Fu*k what people think, your not on this earth to please people. Make your software, develop a webpage and promote it.

Submit your shit to major download sites like download.com etc.
Target ebay with your software, you get a lot of traffic for your buck ( plug in your site ). Build up your cash with sales from ebay and make an affilliate program for webmasters and customers. Hook up with some of these mom and pop software sites and let them promote your shit for a cut. Go to a cd duplication site, make thousands of copies and go to liquidation.com and sell your software in bulk. It doesn't matter how many erasher programs are out if people constantly see your product plastered everywhere they will buy it if they 'need' it. Don't hook up with anyone else to help you with shit, do everything youself so you don't get fucked.

This is how i would sell software.

roseyrid 07-23-2002 02:05 PM

if you are gonna go for it you need a good name...I have the following if you are interested

HistoryRemover.com
EliminateYourTracks.com
CleanYourComputer.com

Great deals on any of them if you or someone else is interested.
thanks,
Rosey

TFCash 07-23-2002 02:33 PM

You should start a website also, I think http://www.amateur--pages.com is still open :)

Do non-newbies actually buy domains with double dashes? Anything you make up will probably be better than a domain with double dashes.

roseyatrid: Is domain buying/selling actually a profitable business? Those are decent, but given an hour or so, one could probably register something just as good. Which domain you use probably doesn't matter anyway, as long as it describes the product your are selling and/or is marketed creatively.

Scootermuze 07-23-2002 08:14 PM

all things being equal... why would another eraser type program be necessary?? There are loads of em floating aorund out there already...

roseyrid 07-23-2002 08:14 PM

woj, yes buying and selling domains is profitable, but unfortunately its not that easy any more...i still sell a name once and a while for $500-$1000, but it doesnt happen to often. Well maybe if I had good names...i have shitty ones and once and a while people still want once. And by the way, my names were not that easy to find...

kmanrox 07-23-2002 08:16 PM

kmanrox 07-23-2002 08:17 PM
