I am doing this simply becuase I have been in this business since 1999 and I am severly burnt out. We will however keep the site open as a tgp...That change will be coming within the next few weeks. Again I am sorry, I am not able to update the site simply because I have many other things happening right now. You are going to want to remove all your links, galleries, banners...etc.... Feel free to bitch at me if you need to I figured this is the best way to do this Thanks Everyone Debs "

I have emailed all affiliates letting them know, so they wont be sending traffic. I am totally burnt out
I have tried to figure the best way to do this....I suppose just do it
We will be changing the site over to a tgp within the next few weeks

My lord.... why not just leave it up just as it is; It will continue to make money for some time.

Open up a damn TGP someplace else.

I have to say, I've always wondered why in certain instances the solo girl or site owner doesn't just stockpile a ton of archived content and then rotate it into the member's area slowly, month by month, and KEEP THE SITE GOING.

Of course you have to shoot enough content ahead of time to do that, but you'd think if someone was online since '99 they would have it.

Better than pissing off all of one's affiliates and alienating them for any future projects one may eventually want to do where affiliates might be needed.

Turning a paysite into a tgp isn't an option I would have even considered, but best of luck with it.

She has had a great run? She is retiring...I'm thinking more of the lines that she didn't make enough money. If you remember not to long ago, she was on GFY looking for more work = not making enough money with what she currently was doing.

So, I don't think she is retiring, I think she has to go out and get a real job.

Anyone who still is sending traffic will be fine right now, I was letting everyone know in advance as to what I am doing. I would rather not have anyone waste thier traffic after sunday is all....
I have not done this before, I figured this would be the best way, everyone has 4 days to remove the stuff....I wont close my hosted stuff till sunday...so hopefully this will be good for all

what about people already linking to the site? will the codes still work?

I am shutting down the affiliate program, I am not able to keep the site updated the way I should....We have other things going too....I simply dont wanna do it anymore, I am not getting any younger and have lost interest...

That's a terrible decision. There is no need to shut the paysite down and screw your affiliates. If you cant update new content, just start rotating the content you already have.

You can stop creating new FHGs and promo materials. No need for those, because good webmasters make their own anyway. It would take little to no effort to maintain that paysite with the current content you already have.

No seriously, this has been coming, we have busted our buts and at the same time hated every minute...we are burned out

With the "rotating in archived content" plan I mentioned above, that can be done in as little as 2-3 hours a month.

Working 3 hours a month is too much for you?

Peoples links dont just "dissapear" from old submitted tgp galleries, galleries that get indexed in search engines, freesites that were submitted a while back, blog entries that are indexed in search engines, etc. the list goes on. Traffic will still trickle in from many places and it will go straight to your new tgp.
