As a general rule, people that are overweight are lazy hence the reason they are fat
 

Is there any truth to that? Fat people tend to not brush their teeth, keep an untidy house as well as a host of other things. Do you think the reason they are fat is because they are just lazy in a general sense ?

I know 2 people that are pretty damn overweight, and every time I see them they are clean and their house is very tidy

Nope, varies greatly from individual to individual. Most of the fat people I know are not overly lazy (their house is clean and they have good teeth) but rather they just eat too fucking much (myself included).

the teeth thing is wrong. fat people LOVE food and i know VERY few fat people wth bad teeth - they need them to eat.

it's the skinny ones that don't brush - get enough saliva and dried out gums, etc that have bad teeth in my exerience.

the one thing fat people NEED is teeth.

Physically lazy and overall lazy are pretty different too, especially for people who work online. A desire to work all the time may make it more difficult to take time out and go to the gym. That is arguably physically lazy but hardly the same as eating bon bons on a dirty sofa and staring at the ceiling.

I think it's part family history and part lazy.

My neighbors are big and so are their kids, yet I never see them walking or doing anything.

My best friend is obesse and lazy as fuck. His apartment is a pig pen too.

Low self esteem normally is the overweight persons issue, they eat for comfort it seems. People who are lazy I do not get at all, go work out, go for a walk do something and don't just sit around and do nothing.

It is a pesonal thing. I know fat people who are not lazy at all. Overweight is not allways problem of lazines to work out.

Too lazy to educate themselves about proper nutrition or apply those rules or common sense to their eating habits, too lazy to work out regularly.... basically they have no will to change. And the only way to do it is to change your way of life, you change how you do things every day.

Someone could have a clean house and still have those bad habits...

If you guys ever watch "The bigger loser" you will notice that ALL the contestants losoe weight... so don't believe the hype about "it's running in my family".

I think it stems a lot of times from not only lack of any real exercise but also from a bad relationship with food. Many people consider food to be a source of comfort, a solution to boredom or as a festive ocassion. When you view food as a source of fuel instead it's a lot easier to lose and keep weight off. You wouldn't sit around with all your friends in a gas station for hours pumping gas, so why do it at the dinner table?
