Sedo's Premium Domain Auction

Sedo's having a special Premium Domain Auction event coming up very soon. Just a thread to see if you've even heard of it. Did you know about it before reading this post?

First I've heard of it.

That's what I thought. I can't believe they aren't pushing this harder. Everyone hears about the Traffic auctions all over the place. This Premium auction seems pretty hush-hush in comparison.

Has the deadline to submit domains come and gone?

Nope, not yet. I think the low profile this auction seems to carry so far could mean some potential bargains to the buyers that know about it. Might not be good for sellers, for the same reason. :2 cents:

do you have a link or any other info

On their newly purchased Great Domains site I see it says "Premium Live Auctions starts on 07/19/2007!"

There's nothing about it in their News on the Sedo site. However, if you go into Domain management and select one of your names for example, you can see at the bottom where the pull-down usually says something like Delete or Save .. there's an extra option. "Apply for Premium Auction"

And it does seem to look like a Great Domains thing they are starting.

Applications are reviewed by Sedo’s Brokerage Department and will be approved if the following criteria are met:

* The domain is short, a real word and is easy to remember
* It is a generic domain, e.g. like car.com, creditcard.com or books.com
* The domain is easy to spell and not prone to typographical errors
* The domain is product-related and therefore has a high commercial value
* The domain doesn’t violate any third party rights (e.g. trademark rights)
* The TLD geographically matches the language of the domain name
* The reserve price for the domain is reasonable

Apply now for the auction event being held from:

Jul/18/07 06:00 PM EST until Jul/26/07 05:59 PM EST
