The post that got eaten by GFY:

Ok, so you guys get money from companies like AFF, which advertise on torrent sites which feature CP and/or borderline CP. (proof - refresh the page if another advertiser comes up) That's pretty fucked up in itself, but let's ignore that for now.

I just saw in another thread that one of your sponsors is Skinvideo (GUBA). Now, that seriously pisses me off, since Skinvideo actually HAD CP ON ITS FRONT PAGE AT ONE POINT!

So, here's my message to you, ASACP: Fuck you! :321GFY

SleazyDream 08-14-2007 01:54 PM

Yellow Pages 08-14-2007 01:54 PM

No, I caught GUBA selling child porn.

Wanna see me catching them selling child porn again?

First two vids. That's this one:

For instance, last spring, when an eighth-grade girl at Horace Mann School in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, sent a digital video of herself masturbating to a male classmate on whom she had a crush, it quickly appeared on a file-sharing network that teenagers use to trade music. Hundreds of New York private school students saw the video, in which the girl's face was clearly visible, and it was available to a worldwide audience of millions.

That video was a huge pain in the ass. Kept getting posted on a forum I moderated. Was posted here on GFY too, by the way.

So, I figured GUBA would have it - and, of course, I was right.

Oh, wait, AFF is one of your biggest sponsors, right?

Must be nice, knowing that one of your closest business partners is in the business of financing the illegal distribution of stolen content as well as underage content.

Oh I care man, look in the other thread with Tim from ASACP.

All I can say is people are not going to take you serious when you tell them to fuck off.

Keep a level head and you'll get a lot more done.

Get with me on ICQ if you want, we've got some stuff in the works.

I don't want them to take me seriously. I want them to take what I show them seriously.

I've raised issues like this in the nicest way possible - didn't do a thing. This, undoubtedly, will achieve exactly as much - nothing.

The truth is that most people in this industry just don't care. They want to make money now, and they are not interested in tomorrow, nor are they interested in the way they make money. They oppose CP, of course - but only in the vaguest of ways, and as long as it does not actually interfere with their business interests.

Hell, I called GUBA out on the CP on their frontpage over a year ago. Yet, they still have dodgy stuff on their site.

ASACP, meanwhile, seems unwilling to make it very clear that the adult industry needs to keep a big distance between itself and materials like these.

Even without the ads on dodgy torrent sites, the AFF dating sites - which don't check age on free subscribers and advertise on sites with lots of underage users - would still have a significant amount of underage free members. Yet ASACP have no objections against having them as sponsors.

This whole industry is pretty much fucked, in my opinion :2 cents:

I care. Can't do much but I do care.

Those who value business ties over CP deserve to lose everything. And, if they haven't much else going for them outside of online adult, they eventually will. Fucked up, short-sighted, & selfish decisions will slowly turn this industry into an even bigger media/gov target (and laughingstock) than it already is.

I think there needs to be a group that actively fights CP online and is aggressive about it. Almost like a Perverted-Justice style group that not only takes companies and websites to task but the individuals behind them. This group can go straight to hosts and registrars to handle the situation as well as local authorities.

Leaving the actual work to the authorities is probably best. You don't want to accidentally mess up a sting operation, or alert the criminal before the authorities have the information to lock him up.

However, it would be good if an organization like ASACP would actually have a zero tolerance policy regarding association with any underage content whatsoever, rather than accepting it when their sponsors advertise on sites with underage content.

It would be even better if they published some guidelines for companies in the adult industry on how to avoid inadvertently supporting the distribution of such content (which is essentially what AFF is doing).

The authorities seem to be slow to react and often times ignore legitimate complaints. Whether it's lack of funding or the fact they are years behind in internet technology, they are typically a black hole when it comes to getting things done.

Perhaps this means we need a group that will lobby Washington for more funding in this division. Or work out deals with foreign governments to shut down these sites faster. Whatever it is, the current system is not working and if it takes a little vigilante justice to fix it, I'm all for it.

Lobbying for more funding for anti-cp operations would be a great idea, vigilante justice would be a rather bad idea. We can't really put people in jail, so at most, we could get them shut down - only to have them pop up again somewhere else in a matter of days.

Humpy Leftnut 08-14-2007 06:31 PM

As for Guba, they are basically a web front end to the newsgroups, so of course you're going to find animal and kiddy porn there without some serious agressive CSR's eliminating that stuff and adding filters on a daily basis.

As for ASACP, I think you're pretty spot on. They shouldn't take money from companies who can't even patrol themselves
