So, I figured GUBA would have it - and, of course, I was right. |

Must be nice, knowing that one of your closest business partners is in the business of financing the illegal distribution of stolen content as well as underage content. :321GFY |

I guess people just don't care... :disgust

All I can say is people are not going to take you serious when you tell them to fuck off. Keep a level head and you'll get a lot more done. Get with me on ICQ if you want, we've got some stuff in the works. |

I've raised issues like this in the nicest way possible - didn't do a thing. This, undoubtedly, will achieve exactly as much - nothing. The truth is that most people in this industry just don't care. They want to make money now, and they are not interested in tomorrow, nor are they interested in the way they make money. They oppose CP, of course - but only in the vaguest of ways, and as long as it does not actually interfere with their business interests. Hell, I called GUBA out on the CP on their frontpage over a year ago. Yet, they still have dodgy stuff on their site. ASACP, meanwhile, seems unwilling to make it very clear that the adult industry needs to keep a big distance between itself and materials like these. Even without the ads on dodgy torrent sites, the AFF dating sites - which don't check age on free subscribers and advertise on sites with lots of underage users - would still have a significant amount of underage free members. Yet ASACP have no objections against having them as sponsors. This whole industry is pretty much fucked, in my opinion :2 cents: |
|
I care. Can't do much but I do care.
Those who value business ties over CP deserve to lose everything. And, if they haven't much else going for them outside of online adult, they eventually will. Fucked up, short-sighted, & selfish decisions will slowly turn this industry into an even bigger media/gov target (and laughingstock) than it already is. |

I think there needs to be a group that actively fights CP online and is aggressive about it. Almost like a Perverted-Justice style group that not only takes companies and websites to task but the individuals behind them. This group can go straight to hosts and registrars to handle the situation as well as local authorities.

However, it would be good if an organization like ASACP would actually have a zero tolerance policy regarding association with any underage content whatsoever, rather than accepting it when their sponsors advertise on sites with underage content. It would be even better if they published some guidelines for companies in the adult industry on how to avoid inadvertently supporting the distribution of such content (which is essentially what AFF is doing). |

Perhaps this means we need a group that will lobby Washington for more funding in this division. Or work out deals with foreign governments to shut down these sites faster. Whatever it is, the current system is not working and if it takes a little vigilante justice to fix it, I'm all for it. |
intresting

As for Guba, they are basically a web front end to the newsgroups, so of course you're going to find animal and kiddy porn there without some serious agressive CSR's eliminating that stuff and adding filters on a daily basis.
As for ASACP, I think you're pretty spot on. They shouldn't take money from companies who can't even patrol themselves |
