Salvia has been around for ages though... you can buy it from legal high shops although it loses most of it's potency that way. Never tried it myself though.

Uh, salvia is some really potent shit. You can have some really, really bad trips on it. You need a trip sitter for this shit. People have been known to wake up, cuts all over them, naked in the police station, bushes, forest, having fallen down their stairs, etc etc. A guy I knew had smoked 10x extract and he had only fallen off his bed but knocked out 3 teeth

I've tried 5x extract on a few occasions and let me tell you it is anything BUT a recreational drug. I think it may definitely have some therapeutic uses.

Teenagers across Canada are buying an herb that packs a powerful psychedelic punch. Health Canada and the RCMP say they're keeping a close eye on the legal sales.

Salvia divinorum, a sage-like plant, can produce intense hallucinations when smoked or chewed.

"When I first did it, within 30 seconds it was already doing its thing," said Blair Anderson, who co-owns a drug paraphernalia shop a few blocks from a high school in Edmonton. "I was thinking 'Man, this is just like LSD but it's happening really fast.'"

The store's co-owner, Colin Rogucki, said they decided not to sell the cheap drug to anyone under 18 because he thinks the drug's intensity makes it potentially dangerous to young teens.

The pair said they turn down many young people trying to get salvia to smoke.

"The drug is very common, easy to get and it's not illegal," said Constable Jason Lefebvre, a high school resource officer with Edmonton police. "So it seems natural that a lot of younger people are interested and curious about it and want to try it."

Students have reported the drug was disorienting, Lefebvre said. "They didn't say it was very much fun."

Using Salvia is like being shot straight into a dream you can't control. You must lay down and have someone watching you to make sure you don't hurt yourself.

Not a recreational drug at all. If you like out of body experiences, you might like it, but I'll never touch it again:)

this isnt for the weak of heart. i got ahold of some 60x or was it 80x, and wish i hadnt. the fabric of the world immediately tore away from itself. i tripped hard back in the day, this is nothing like an acid trip or shrooms. i would say its even more powerful then liquid acid. so for God's sake dont try it. it really isnt worth the loss of reality. and i see NO therapeautic use for this. correct me if i am wrong.
