Someone has stolen my domain
:(:(:( :sadcrying As the title says I have registered one domain two days ago with godaddy, the domain was free for a few months... I changed the dns to my hosting account and started making site there and today I visit it and it's gone... :sadcrying
In the whois I still see my info... but the ip now of the domain is 209.85.51.233 and email on site [email protected] I have already emailed godadday, is there anything else I can do? I feel so bad now... |
should of relocked it as soon as you changed the dns settings, or maybe someone had your password and just pushed it to themselves
|
ouch that sucks
i hope that cant happen on namecheap |
It might have been stickyFingerz. But don't worry, you will get it back in two weeks and he will give you a new cam to show you how great a guy he really is.
|
why was the domain free??
|
No, I think no one has password and pushed it... it is still in my domain control center status: Active - Locked :( btw how will I call goddady from Poland. I have tried (480) 505-8877 but it doesn't works.. do I need add some prefix number ?
|
ogolnie rzecz biorac, godaddy nie ma dobrego 'supportu', pewnie zignoruja twoje maile i ci nie pomoga
namecheap jest chyba lepsze do stanow dzwonic z Polski musisz chyba z prefiksem 001 ;) the Dutchies flood this board with their language all the ime, so it's time for some polish :winkwink: |

That sucks. Hope you work it out.

sucks sucks sucks!
|
Ahh, wait. I think I may know the issue:
You bought an expired domain. Some of the registrars have been allowing domains to be registered internally before the redemption period is complete. The guy who owned it before you may have come back and renewed it (as was his right) and it reverted back to him. What was the original expiry date, and when did you buy it, and is the person on the whois now greatly different from before you bought it? |

man that sucks, anyway i think you have to check your pc with online pandasecurity.com scanner. you will be amazed how many bugs you have in your pc ... maybe its not the reason, but its always better to keep your pc clean ;) wish you to get this solved ...

:) wooohoooo! I have it back, rofl..... the problem is solved! anyway I have no idea what caused that problem... but it's ok now since it solved... that was just unnecessary stress for me... the domain isn't worth much itself but I think that when I put some work there it may bring a few bucks in future... Thank you all for your support it's really easier when we share our problems and make drama at gfy :)
|
alot of domains are being hijacked these days ...
|
That's why major domainers use the most secure registrar in the world:
