Payed traffic to a blog? Worth it?

Was browsing ebay and found internet promotions and saw a bunch of stuff on there showing 100,000 Targeted Website Visitors, or 1,000,000 REAL guaranteed TARGETED website visitors ! Their going pretty cheap too. Was wondering if buying that type of traffic to point to a adult blog is worth it? www.plsme.com is my website.

What do you think? Worth it?

how much was it?
if it sounds too good to be true it probably is..especially buying traffic from the bay

Theres a number of people selling this service.
Saw one that looked pretty good, 5$ for 10,000. But its not for adult sites and it notes that new sites like mine shouldn't get 10,000 all of a sudden because it might knock me down the page rank or suttin lol. Pretty informative.

10,000 - $5
100,000 - $20.00 min
5,000,000 - 14.99 (no buyout)
1,000,000 - no buyout but one is about to end at about $6

ya 2 good to be true is good way to put it, but if it does actually send traffic, even if it doesnt mean buyers wont that put me higher on the search engines?

so do these traffic sales on ebay sound like bullshit?

or is it worth a try?

Phat Phil,

I can't vouch for the ebay service, unfortunately. However, paying for traffic can be great, depending on your goals.

I personally would buy traffic where I can see where it's coming from and from known and reputable sources.

I've used google adwords with success and paid listings on relevant blogs. But there are other good places.

Did you know facebook started selling ppc advertising in the form of "flyers"?

Another thing to consider is just getting free traffic. Before you decide to pay make sure you're doing EVERYTHING to get free traffic first:

- viral marketing
- social bookmarking
- seo
- volume blogging
- etc etc.

hitbot traffic rocks
but the sales ain't so good, ya know?

exhaust all free sources first,
then come back and ask others where they buy traffic, then buy in small amounts to test.

Good read indeed

Great posts thanks.

Anytime you see a listing for traffic on ebay you should automatically know it's hitbot traffic.

The reason is that anyone who would buy traffic on ebay doesn't know enough to be able to tell the difference between real traffic and bots so they are easy pickings for the scammers.

I wouldn't be buying it off ebay
