Here in Europe we have a special term for holding several kind of animals constantly in cages
(chicken,birds but also wild animals at the zoo or circus)

we call it "Käfighaltung" what means kept in cages

is the an english mainword/synonym for that term ?

why i ask that question? well i am just building up a bondage site :)

they call it abu ghraib for animals

in English we just add 'ed' to cage. not really sure we have a word that identifies the subject in the cage as being caged. and we have words like prisoner to define cages humans. not to sure that term crosses over to animals. I'm interested in reading the replies to this thread myself. -bmb

I would use caged or imprisoned but is it for a free site or paysite some processors have rules about words like that because it implies forced?

You could also look at the other bondage sites and see what words they use.

my understanding of the post is that the word Käfighaltung is a noun identifying caged animals. in english we don't really do that.

for instance in some languages they have nouns for the various stages of fruit. for example: a peach is called one name when growing and another when ripe. we use modifiers. we would say ripe peach, instead of using a different noun.

we have prisoner and that's about it really. look to the slang dictionaries be my thoughts.

Right. "Käfighaltung" is animal husbandry in a cage. So it is pretty much like you defined it, but it´s not referring to the animal as such, it´s describing the circumstances the animal is kept. For example a cow is a cow wether or not it is kept in a cage.

I think what he is searching for is an expression which compares the bondage model to an animal kept in a cage. For example there is an allegory for a rich person without freedom: "he or she is held captive in a gilded cage".

maybe it would be best to use a term the SE will pick up then devise a term that is specific to the site and will be used on site, as members become aware. example: MILF. the word didn't exist until it was devised, now SE's are all over it.

Yeah, very difficult to get terms for a porn site if you aren´t a native speaker, especially in niches. MILF is a good example. It is a common term on German pornsites as well today.

LOL. I wouldn´t have thought about this for one second. Wasn´t aware of that meaning. So I´ll look at "Strawberry Sandy" in a different way as before.

We discussed the domain name, but the problem is you can´t get a matching translation for a German slang term in English tht easy. Bobby wants a name to point out that his site is about degraded sluts, whores or whatnot.

I suggested to take degradedbitch.com, for example. Would that work?

maybe the word rabbit-cage goes in my direction :)
but in german the term has a better meaning: we say rabbit-cage to pubs or discos full of hot girls and i am shure in englisch noone would think that way.
