Adult Check letter re VISA

looks like competition for ibill et. al.

Webmasters,

As I said in an announcement last week, the new VISA
regulations have no impact on Adult Check Webmasters.
Today I'd like to dive into more detail regarding our
paysite billing product, AC Pay.

In the wake of Webmaster comments following the
announcement of new VISA USA regulations, we feel it is
important to address why AC Pay is not affected and how AC
Pay can help your business succeed under these conditions.

First, due to our worldwide process arrangements and seven
years of experience at processing high volumes of
transactions, AC Pay does not anticipate that the
registration fees required by VISA USA will apply to our
Webmaster Clients. In addition, our non U.S. webmasters
will not have to set-up a corporate presence in the U.S. as
some of our competitors are requiring.

AC Pay has a presence in other regions of the world and
processes its VISA transactions through VISA International,
which has not adopted the new regulations made by VISA
USA. There is a chance that VISA International may adopt
these regulations in the future, however VISA International
has traditionally had a much better track record of
cooperation between itself and its acquiring banks and
merchants.

Our redundant banking relationships spanning the globe
combined with the structure of our business mean that AC
Pay is much more stable than other processors in the
industry. AC Pay not only screens fraudulent transactions
more accurately via our Profile Check scoring system, we
also get more transactions processed due to our ability to
attempt transactions through multiple banking channels in a
fraction of a second.

Second, AC Pay has strong and healthy relationships with
VISA and MasterCard due to our professionalism and track
record over these seven years in business. These
relationships made us aware of the recently announced
regulations over six months ago and allowed us to enter the
paysite billing marketplace with a quality product and a
distinct advantage.

Third, AC Pay values its Clients both large and small. We
will keep you apprised of any future regulations that may
impact the way we do business together. Further, we will
always leverage our weight in the processing industry to
make your voices heard and keep unnecessary costs down. We
appreciate the fact that any fee impacts your bottom line
and would never hide an announcement regarding fees until
the last minute in an attempt to back you into a corner.

We understand that the current processing climate can be a
stressful one for you and your companies. To help
alleviate this stress, we have a qualified and highly
intelligent staff that KNOWS YOUR BUSINESS MODEL and will
help you through these times.

Currently we are offering a rate of 14.5% (goes down based
on volume) to any Webmaster interested in setting up AC Pay
as a primary or tertiary processor on their paysites.
There are no setup fees, monthly fees or any fees to use
our advanced affiliate / reseller program.

We are happy to work one-on-one with you to migrate your
business over to AC Pay and our team of trained support
staff will come up with a plan specifically tailored to
your site(s) and your business.

The entire staff at AC Pay would love the opportunity to
earn your trust and your business. Our success is linked
and our goals are in sync with yours.

I think AC has their stuff together. I just got a signup contract Fedex'd to me and I'm ready to go with them!

Screw CCBill, Epoch and ibill!

webmite 10-08-2002 04:09 PM

ACpay and Glo-bill for me now.

I'll just let my sites with the Big 3 just die.

ColKurtz 10-08-2002 04:10 PM

Looks good. These people look like they have their shit together. And are probably a lot more trustworthy than guys who still process for pseudo kiddie porn.

Brilliant business strategy to launch it now.

AC Pay was always there and ready but the current problems seem to really have helped. Who coulda guessed this 2 months ago!

TheFLY 10-08-2002 04:28 PM

14.5%? Ouch... How am I going to get my 90%? LOL

E-Randy 10-08-2002 04:29 PM

I don't want to be a pessimist but I wanted to bring up a point that I'm sure you have all thought of but maybe didn't give it serious consideration. Lets assume that you go with a processor that is not abiding by the new regs. 3-4 even 6 months down the line that processor gets caught or they lose their merchant account. What happens to all your recurring members for those months? They're gone. What happens if VISA international changes their regs, you're in the same boat as now.

Be very careful when making this decision, it can have a huge impact on your future and your mental health. I once got ripped off by a processor that had accounts overseas. VISA international or the aquiring bank cancelled their account and I was out 100k or roughly 1 1/2 months processing. Don't put yourself in that kind of situation because it can bankrupt you! Thank god I was financially stable and guess what, I still paid all my affiliates their payouts from my pocket. Now that's fucking ethics!

I really hope this works for the small paysite owners... Or they have found another program.. I have read here people saying if you don't have the $ 750.00 you do not need to be in the business and all kinds of other shit... Most of these people are ass holes (which I have one & do not need another 1) and I was some what surprised at some of them.... Looks like if some people do not have an intelligent answer they go on the defence. This could end up being a very large detriment to the 3 or 4 so called big 3 or 4. Don't know which one of them came up with there scheme but I have a good ideal who.. Am sure most if not all of you small paysite owners wouldn't piss on them if there guts were on fire now.... AND I don't blame you.... if I decide to start another paysite I sure a hell will not be using any of them. What goes around comes around..... I got's to think some of these big 3 or 4 are huddled thinking of damage control...
