There is no global warming

Ok all you dumb conservative fucks.

give me your fox news view on this.
No ice at the north pole THIS YEAR!!!!!

http://www.independent.co.uk/environ...le-855406.html

StuartD 06-26-2008 07:28 PM

Yup, first time there might not be any ice to walk on at the north pole.
No more Santa folks!

Some Guy 06-26-2008 07:36 PM

Eh. Earth's climate seems to be changing for sure, but it's still debatable whether or not "global warming" is to blame. People seem to forget that Earth's climate has changed a few times in the past (ice age, anyone?), long before humans had any major role on the planet. I think planetary climate changes are just natural and probably happen with every planet.

Some Guy 06-26-2008 07:38 PM

That being said, looks like Superman might have to relocate his Fortress of Solitude. :p

payd2purv 06-26-2008 07:39 PM

AlienQ invented global warming.

Ummm do you read. The first paragraph

"It seems unthinkable, but for the first time in human history, ice is on course to disappear entirely from the North Pole this year."

Yes, but just because ice has vanished from one place doesn't prove global warming. It proves a climate shift.

I live in Tucson, Arizona. Guess what? It's been getting colder here every year. This winter was cold as hell and last year we actually got quite a bit of snow.

See my point?

TheSenator 06-26-2008 07:51 PM

Its impossible how Republicans don't believe in Global warming but believe the Earth is only 6000 years old, dinosaurs and human lived together.

Some Guy 06-26-2008 07:55 PM

Not all republicans believe that, man. Just the ultra-conservative religious right-wing nutjobs.

There are a lot of democrats who believe the same thing, mind you.

Global warming is a conclusion from scientists... scientists are evil anti-christs.
Plus, God would never allow anything bad to happen to us and therefore would not allow us to do something stupid like global warming.

Heroine and date rape drugs maybe, but never global warming.

Correct !!

Isn't Mars getting hotter aswell ?? I take it they have bad pollution there aswell...

tranza 06-27-2008 07:26 AM

That's awful...

pornguy 06-27-2008 07:29 AM

Sure it is global warming. But that has been going on in cycles since before man walked the earth.

So, Chill out.

jalami 06-27-2008 07:37 AM

During the medieval warm period, the southern portion of Greenland was much warmer and supported Viking settlements. After the fourteenth century the "Little Ice Age" played a major factor in killing off those settlements.

There is no disputing global climate change exists and has the potential for negative impact on humanity, which in modern times, covers the entire planet, and therefore can be affected by new weather conditions or natural disasters anywhere.

What is in dispute is the following: man-made global warming. Correlation is not causation, it's a basic logical flaw.

Whether or not we are the cause of this potentially disastrous climate change, we'll still need to deal with the consequences.

Wow talk about head in the sand. There have been cycles before, just no where near what is going on now. I hope you never have kids, because they should just let your line die off.

I am trying really hard to give a fuck but it is just not working.

cykoe6 06-27-2008 09:03 AM

Personally I could give fuck all about global warming except as how it provides a convenient excuse for governments to massively increase taxes and regulations and further increase the stranglehold that they have on our daily lives and incomes. "Global Warming" is the largest big government swindle of all time. Lenin is certainly laughing in his grave.

I believe it's going to happen regardless of what we do. They've proven it by taking ice samples that it's a natural cycle. We may be speeding it up, but it is by no means caused by us. :2 cents:

so what. human history and "history of the planet" are not exactly the same things. on a geological time scale, human history is barely a measurable event.

Perhaps the result of planets' movements, no?

Yes. You "believe". You don't actually know anything whatsoever about the subject, but you "believe" nonetheless, ignoring the majority of the scientists in the field. After all, why look at what scientists say when you could simply pick and choose random beliefs all by yourself, right?

No, they have not proved what's currently happening to be part of a natural cycle. If they had, we wouldn't have tens of thousands of scientists claiming otherwise, now would we?

xmas13 06-27-2008 12:36 PM

We are not fucking ourselves, we just enjoy life and will let future generations deal with the consequences. :-) Do you really care if humans will starve to death in the next centuries?

xmas13 06-27-2008 12:37 PM

We can't even take care of people alive and living in our communities, let alone help future generations.

We bury problems like we bury nuclear waste.

Martin 06-27-2008 12:48 PM

What can we do? We're just along for the ride on this rock drifting threw space. Is it us doing this or is it Earth's natural cycle of heating and cooling? Who fucking knows.

Violetta 06-27-2008 12:50 PM

the next generations are gonna pay!

CDSmith 06-27-2008 12:51 PM

Want to reduce the world's greenhouse gas emissions by 10% in one fell swoop? Easy.

Reportedly, cow farts are the cause of that much alone.
Solution: Add Beano to cattle feed.

:D

AmateurFlix 06-27-2008 01:16 PM

but what are we going to do to solve the global warming on Mars?!!!!!!

ajrocks 06-27-2008 01:33 PM

High gas prices will stop global warming!

Look it's the next Ghandi here. You go thru life only giving a fuck about yourself huh. I bet you have a very short list of friends.

CDSmith 06-27-2008 10:22 PM

Seriously, no one sees the genius in my add Beano to cattle feed plan?

I thought at least few here would be swifter on the uptake. :D
