So a little while ago Scott Weiland walked into the bar i was

Nobody even recognized him but me. I tell the dude i was talking to do you know STP and hes like yeah ofcourse. I said well there's Scott Weiland. He didnt believe it. He said thats not him. Its obviously because he looks nothing like he used to look. Even the bar guy who who Scott ordered a drink from didnt recognize him while he is into their music. He was like WTF was that Scott Weiland???

Anyway it was a shitty evening there and he left after 15 mins with his crew. Funny thing is when they came in they had to pay 3 bucks each as the bouncer didnt recognize him and didnt care. So Scott said he didnt want pay the cover charge. He said i'm from the band Velvet Revolver and we're playing tomorrow blah blah..he even went as far as saying do you know Slash, he's from my band...anything to not pay the 3 bucks.

I thought Weiland was kicked out of Velvet Revolver and was touring with STP.

Brother Bilo 06-27-2008 04:02 PM

dishing out 3 bucks means 3 bucks less of H that night. Not worth it I guess.

Mustve been some time ago? He left velvet revolver a bit ago and has been touring with STP

I saw them 2 weeks ago and they rocked... you could hear his voice straining singing "sour girl" though.

He comes into Nashville quite a bit. One of my song writing partners is signed with his label SoftDrive Records. My other writing partner has cuts coming out on the same album. I have yet to meet Scott personally, but I will eventually. From everything I've heard he is a good guy, so hate to hear bad things.

Some Guy 06-27-2008 04:35 PM

Scott Weiland is fucking awesome and I can't stress enough how happy I am he left Velvet Revolver. That band was a joke and pretty much sucked. The only good thing they ever did was "Fall to Pieces."

Hell, if I were at the bar that night I would have paid his cover charge!

Hollywood Horwitz 06-27-2008 04:47 PM

this is typical of ALL celebs man. I've seen everyone from Hilary Duff to Keifer Sulivan not being recongnized and wanting free shit, demanding it! it's sad but very true.

Fuck. I live in Tucson too and totally would have gone had I known about it. STP will always be one of my favorite bands.

And even calling "Fall to Pieces" a good song is a stretch...

The video is amazing. Weiland wrote that song at a time when his life was literally falling to shit, and hence it's one of the only well-written songs on the Contraband album. The rest of the album just feels cheap and generic.
