Galleries, WMV, MPEG, or FLV???
 

Which do you prefer? Video Galleries with downloadable videos like WMV or MPEG, or streaming video gals with embedded flash videos? If you prefer downloadable videos, which format?

I offer all 4 on my system. MPEG, AVI and WMV as downloadable videos, and FLV for web viewing.

Hmm, now that I think about it I should probably collect stats on what users click on.

Oddly enough I have members that have stuck around forever because I offer mov...

avi is a waste of time and bw imo.

Just make sure you have an option that is readable by the major TGP scripts. FLV isn't.

Thanks for the input guys. I should have stated it clearer, I'm talking about Free Hosted Galleries, not galleries in my members area.

I went with:

FHG - wmv

plus flash files in hand for future use.

wmv is the best option

best is to offer all of them so many people need different formats these days.. we got all of them!

I have asked same questions 8-9 months ago and the winner was wmv or mpg. WMV might be the best logical option.
