This one always makes me laugh.

No offense to Kandah, buddy ole chum, but we are in this online business to make money.

If you are going to use my bandwidth, or click to my site, I am in it to sell you something. Whether you sign up to my mailing list, click some ad, or buy something direct. Signing up is justified and should be expected. It's the least you can do.

This internet 'entitlement' mentality is, frankly, bullshit.

You are wrong, you want to help them get your information, you want to get money from people to fund some world bank, you are just another cog in the wheel and being used by the Illuminati and NWO to further their super secret agenda to take everything over and get the Amero rolling while NATO troops patrol the street. Giving them your email and registering is just another trick they use to make you comply and get you ready to accept the national ID card don't you see?

d-null 11-14-2008 12:19 AM

how about that lameass experts exchange site that is all over the search rankings for things like "how do I delete files in windows" etc etc and you go to them when they show up in the rankings with an answer for your search, but they want you to sign up for $12 a month for the dumbass site to read all the answers

I hate that site, if they want to rank first page for all these answers they should at least have the answer right there, not make you jump through hoops for access :2 cents:

fuck, I just looked and they have 2 million pages indexed by google, fucking bs

I'm glad someone else posted this. I 100% support all 5 options to various extents. I'm not going to sign up to read a newspaper because there are 500,000 of them, but otherwise I fully support their decision to do that. If the "entitlement" mentality had their way there would be no banner ads, no ref links no nothing and everyone would live in a happy gumdrop world full of free everything made of open source marshmallows. You want information free of charge? deal with the extra .0001 seconds it takes to skip or minimise an ad.

I agree it's lame when that site shows up when I'm already pulling my hair out trying to fix something, hopefully user voting will lower it in the rankings :)

I find another major shortcoming in google is when searching for obscure lyrics... you will get 100 results of different lyric sites, and they are all scraping each other for content, so basically you get 100's of results of the same crap, and to add to the pain half of them have popover ads and all that shit

the se results in alot of categories in google are a cesspool :2 cents:

mainroman 11-14-2008 03:36 AM

I find Number 1 most annoying. I hate having to open 1000000 damned pages to read the story.

wheat 11-14-2008 04:44 AM

Whoever wrote this article really hates the idea of people making money. Probably uses adblock.

V_RocKs 11-14-2008 04:56 AM

What I hate is Adult sites...

I have to give them my valid email address, cc # and personal home address? wtf? hate it!

martinsc 11-14-2008 05:07 AM

true... so damn true....
