6 months in Europe. What would YOU do?
And how much would you spend?
I was asked this question today and I have no idea where I would go or what I would do. I imagine it would cost a fortune just to exist. |
i would fuck anything and evrything

Do everything, at least all the big things.....
Rent apartments in London, Nice, Paris, Prague, Budapest, and then hop on a plane to Spain, who's rain stays mainly on the plains. And it would cost a shit load unless you could make money while you were out there.... I would sell my body on a webcam :) what would you do? |
I'd go to the airport and head straight to Asia.
|
Shop. And order room service. And see stuff.
|
Are furnished apartments normal over there?
|
6 Months? Hmmm, I'd love to hop in a car with my wife and drive through Europe like in that BBC special of a guy's car trip through Italy. Soak up the local culture and stay in cheaper inns and explore the country side.
|
As an alternative, you could try seven years in Tibet.

I know you can find shit easy if you look ahead of time, I've been looking at Parisaddress.com for paris (obviously sorry), and I'm just starting to look into shit in Spain..... You can find dope apartments too, nice one bedrooms from as low as 2000Euro a month to what the fuck ever you want to spend a month Euros..... Definitely get an apartment. |
Want to meet me? I always wanted you to fuck me up the ass.
|
Visit me, and do nothing but looking at the pond all day.
Then when leaving me because of boredome, pay me to fly over to your place and do the same. We can reallife circlejerk all year long! |
I spent 3 months and watched about $20 grand disappear. Living relatively frugally (no shopping, but lots of good meals and drinks and sightseeing and travel). Furnished apartment on 4th floor of London home, zone 2 slightly outside of the main part of the city.
Establish a "home base" and travel from there. I would not recommend anyplace on the pound system however... you can live way cheaper in other parts of Europe. I'm not big on learning foreign languages, however. |

I've been to over 20 different countries, lots of great places to remember. Marseille, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam among my favourite cities. |

It can cost a LOT, if you dont plan where to stay/go beforehand. But it can also be very expensive if you plan to visit every 'big' place in every city.
If you just go shopping, forget everything I said :) And try to stay the fuck out of Ukraine (Odessa is pretty nice though). |

Furnished apartments are definitely the way to go, but make sure they have Internet connections or you'll be spending your day hunting for wifi connections. I would suggest getting a cheap unlocked cell phone that uses sim cards from eBay if you don't have one already. Then just buy pre-paid sim cards in the countries you visit. There are also free roaming sim cards that you can use in any country you visit. Some airlines off them. If you wanted to make it easy for people in the US to call you then setup a US Skype In phone number, load it up with credit, and have it forward to your European cell. Once you get out to Europe there are a lot of discount airlines you can use, but be careful not to get fucked with excess baggage fees. Trains are buses are always an option too. Now as for the question of where to go...... What are you looking for? A rich cultural experience, extreme debauchery or a little of both? :) |

Well, a 15 day trip to Europe cost us around $25K lol, but we don't stay at hostels and we like to shop. I haven't seen a great deal of Europe, but I would spend more time in Bern Switzerland, Salzburg Austria, and just about anywhere in Italy, especially Rome and Venice.
Venice I would stay at the Rialto Hotel right next to the Rialto Bridge and the market, sit on the balcony and watch the boats and gondolas go along the Grand Canal and people watch. I would probably head off to Greece and Egypt |
