How do you keep your promo links straight?
Hi, bit new to the business or at least not all there yet. I'm wondering what you guys personally do when you see a big $100 - $200 sale day by a certain site. (For those running a TGP or something similar of course) Do you change all links on your homepage to that of the promo in hopes of sales? If so, how can you do that easily? Thanks in advance for your time with helping a fellow webmaster out.

Whenever there's a promo on I always switch links over. It just makes good business sense. As to how I do it, it depends on the site and the cms (content management system). A good cms will enable you to easily change advertising. The difficulty comes when you want to try changing all those links in blog posts! One solution I use for this problem is to use a domain redirect whenever I use a link inside a post. If there's a promo on I then just log in to my registrar and change WHERE I'm redirecting to, in this case, the promo link. If you're looking for good promos right now, check me out (sig). We're offering 75 pps on dating and 150 pps on cams. Let me know if I can be of any help! |
Very often there is NOTHING really to switch over, and the links are the same for any other day. Just during those days you will get paid more. Some people are able to move the content from that particular program to the top. With some tgp scripts or Blog plugins you can easily do that.
We have promos all the time as well. In fact we have something special headed this way for Xmas.. Let me know what niches you promote and I can work with you on all of this including how to set the pages so that you can more easily make changes to them. |
