CDSmith 11-29-2008 12:09 PM

I love Canadian Tire money.

Rochard 11-29-2008 12:16 PM

Canadians rock, plain and simple. They are bigger than the US, on top of us, and have more oil than us.

Mutt 11-29-2008 12:17 PM

it's been 50 years since Canadian Tire was a tire store.

no different a situation than Radio Shack - who buys a computer at a radio store?

Canadian Tire tried to expand into the US and got their ass handed to them fast.

i always end up leaving it in the bag (like i do receipts), and then it falling out months later when i grab a bag for whatever reason out of the bag drawer. you know, it would make great monopoly money. monopoly: canadian tire edition.

well to be fair they are both official languages so they arent speaking "another" language , they are speaking one of the 2 languages

with that being said they should axe french as an official language, i'm sick of having to choose between french and english, there are very very very few french people who can't understand english. Why make 2 versions of everything to satisy 1% of the population

Fabien 11-29-2008 07:08 PM

Hummmm sorry, like it's not 1% ?

And all the posts in this thread are like, 99% FUCKING RIGHT :1orglaugh

Good guess. I think the last census numbers put it at right around 20% speak French as their primary language.

WarChild 11-29-2008 07:56 PM

What about you crazy Americans? Get any meat with your new tires lately? Les Scwab anyone? :)

I have a Canadian Tire Mastercard... all the Canadian Tire money goes directly onto the card. Christmas comes around, someone gets a present on the house.

Kudles 11-29-2008 08:09 PM

No not really

Elli 11-29-2008 08:11 PM

What gets me is on the receipt it says to get a full refund, the Canadian Tire money must be brought back with the receipt! Thank goodness I've never been held to that! I just dump it in the charity bin at the exit to the store.

Mark_E4A 11-30-2008 09:27 AM

Tanker 11-30-2008 09:34 AM

Relentless 11-30-2008 09:38 AM

The wife works for Canadian Tire Corp. - and we get 18% employee discount on every CT Mastercard purchase.

And since we pay the MC balance in full each month...nice savings.

Michaelious 11-30-2008 10:46 AM

Yeah seems bit weird

Martin 11-30-2008 10:55 AM

You think that's weird and think being able to buy an AR-15 from zellers is weird ;)

Iron Fist 11-30-2008 10:57 AM

Living in Los Angeles as long as you did, or maybe still do, being that white is a minority there, and there are more people who speak spanish and do not speak english this is a pretty retarded comment from you.

Fucksakes 11-30-2008 11:24 AM

I don't get it.. you americans unite on a board looking to learn and promote your shit on a forum called "gofuckyourself".

The funny part is, Canadian Tire isn't even a good store to buy tires :1orglaugh

StuartD 11-30-2008 12:29 PM

You know, being in a country where you buy gummy bears, slurpies, beer and wine at the 7/11, it really shouldn't be much of a shock.

uno 11-30-2008 01:18 PM

Canadians buying milk in bags is weirder.

Millions. If you go outside montreal and the ottawa aera, most french canadians don't speak a word of english.

Phoenix 11-30-2008 02:30 PM

brassmonkey 11-30-2008 02:38 PM

silver 11-30-2008 02:55 PM
