As a Manny Paquaio fan, it was awesome to see him beat up on old man De La Hoya tonight. Went to a sportsbar here in So Cal with 99% De La Hoya backers and gave it to them the whole night. De La Hoya looked like a fucking Pinata the whole night and Paquaio didn't even break a sweat in kicking his ass. Awesome fight night. This is what boxing is about..

I'll give De la Hoya his due as a great fighter in his time, but he should have retired 2-3 years ago and his last fight against Forbes proved his was done. De la Hoya took this fight for the money and he's gonna retire next week.

And btw... the undercard fights sucked. 3 fights with a combined 5 rounds. Both companies should be ashamed for putting that shit on the undercard fights. First fight was a joke, second was a complete Argentinian nightmare, and the third a walkover.

Long live Manny Pacquaio, the best pound for pound fighter in the world!!!

side note...i am no longer giving fighters credit for their past glory when they refuse to retire when they should....roy jones is my prime example he would be considered in the top of the all time list but he couldnt let it go:disgust

agreed... jones got pummled and should've retired. took the fight for the $$. i've always thought de la hoya was a sellout to the mexican community and was glad to see his ass get beat 100%. manny just took control. that hbo series they did before the fight was awesome as well. wish i was in vegas and put $$ on him. damn...

as a sicilian, irishmen (dont ask me how cause they hate each other) i cant really comment on the selling out the race factor cause it aint my race...personally i never saw the sellout i just think he is mexican american, but more american than mexican...

oscar should've retired a few fights ago and went for the $$ when fighting a loser named steve forbes. he only did the fight because it was in Carson and in the "Local" arena for LA. When faced with someone who could give him a challenge, he buckled and lost. What this does for Pacquaio and the philipine people is awesome. i'm not philipine but for a fight like this, it unites the people like nothing else...

it was a great fight and setup my tivo for sat night when it's on hbo repeat. unless i can torrent the fight tomorrow. :) I paid my cover charge earlier at a bar at $20/pop. Cost the bar $3k to PPV it.
