Watching WMV's with a MAC?
I have a question, sorry if it's been covered elsewhere here, I can't go look through all threads here! OMG!
Is it difficult for a mac user to watch windows media video files? The reason I'm asking is, my site uses all wmv - I chose that because I thought it was the lowest common denominator - ie everyone could watch them? Does a mac person have to download any special software? |
Need to download WMP

There is a free plugin for quicktime called Flip4Mac. Works great!
Here is the link: http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm |
I will have to check that out :)

No, it's not a converter like that. Once they dl it one time and install, it plays wmv like any other format. They don't have to covert anything on their own, and it also will play while the movie downloads, as well...quick wank intact! lol

Most Macs come with Flip For MAC already installed

VLC is the best viewer, it plays WMV as well as many other formats. AFAIK you can't play any DRM WMV's on the Mac no matter what you have though.

Flip4Mac works lovely for wanking Mac owners. I should know. :banana

VLC Player is the best video player by far, it will play anything. I use it on both my Mac and my PC. |
I have this link on my paysite to the WMV Player List:

I use VLC player and had no problems
