New ACW contest

As we do each and every month, ACW is happy to present its newest contest for December. The prize this month is 1 FREE 700 word article on the adult industry topic of your choice. Whether it be webcams, escort companies, a particular affiliate program, tube sites, or some piece of news that you would like to announce, Adult Copywriters wants to write it for you FREE OF CHARGE!

Now for the contest:

The rules are very simple: Read the question below and offer an answer. We will let you know if your response is too high, too low, or correct. Unlimited attempts are permitted.

QUESTION:
The moon is drifting away from Earth at a rate of approximately 4 centimeters per year. However, once the Sun enters its Red Giant Phase (5 billion years from now), the moon will be driven back towards Earth, coming closer to our planet than ever before.

How many miles will be seperating Earth from the Moon when that happens?

IMPORTANT: Only distances in MILES will be considered.

Am I in the irght ballpark lol not sure if I did that remotely close to how it should be done.

Assuming those are miles, you're aiming too high.

BTW, really great thread concept. It's nice to be forced (well, encouraged) to think about something totally off topic and thought provoking.

Answer 1: 11,470 miles
LINK

"...both Earth and Moon will be affected by the Sun's extended atmosphere and will aproach again. Then the Moon will swing ever closer to Earth until it reaches a point 11,470 miles (18,470 kilometers) above our planet, a point termed the Roche limit."
Please contact me on icq or mail to claim your prize.

Thanks to those who participated in the contest and of course special thanks to GFY.

Thanks Jayvis, we're gonna change the subject for our January contest. Apparently GFYers like space questions too much! :upsidedow
