Used pay pay for adult templates - Not happy with job

I purchased some adult TGP templates from someone...paid with pay pal...not happy with job. He just sent me the PSD files without image folder or html page. When I asked him that I need them complete he said..."Oh it cost more money for my work ...bla ...bla ...bla...give me another $100"

I used paypal, it is just under the 45 day dispute policey...should I dispute this sale...or take it as a loss...do not want to mess up my paypal account do to something affiliated with Adult stuff...against their policy.

Any helpful advice for me?

Sorry man, that is quite the shitty situation. Don't trust any designer that cant code their own work in valid xhtml and css, or sell you the design and then say that code is extra.

Lessons learned for the future I guess.

design services are not adult.. file the dispute..

You're paying for services, not adult products/memberships.

Out the scammer here so nobody else does business with the scammer

you could use photoshop to produce the slices and html ... not that complicated.

Dispute on Paypal will be a pain and since it is not a straight forward tangible, it is open to interpretation.

I would not bother, mainly with the adult angle :2 cents:

Same here.

If you have the images talk with someone like Czarina. she can slice them for you and code them. Not sure about the $$ her ICQ is 276592701

I will try and find his posts and post for you...maybe someone can do the work here for me...in exchange you can also get the PSD files. Since you would also do it for yourself...and just email me a copy. :) He did send me something half ass....an html with some stuff missing, but I am sure it can't be to difficult for someone with experience. I am good with type, photos, and making logos with photoshop...no idea how to web designs with it.

Below is the last email he sent me in November:

What I meant is you use the HTML file I sent you .. then you just sub in the pictures for each template.. if you can't do it yourself I can do it but it will cost more.

Not trying to pull one over you but that is why the templates are priced higher.

Anyways if you can't get it - I'll get you the HTML version for all three for 100. You'd still be getting a good deal paying 180 in total for 3 high quality templates

Let me know,

I got scammed from this guy as well for $125. Was supposed to do design work etc for the week. Its mid second week & nothing. I'll do a complaint on PP also, so the timing will support each others claims.

HerPimp 01-13-2010 11:44 PM

Damn, many times I have paid the price for being cheap. Just cut your losses and look at it as the cost of another lesson you cant find in school.

Better yet...

I agree expose him

I would definitely fight it. I sold a few templates through Paypal about 10 years ago and the customer submitted a dispute to Pay Pal immediately. There was no trial or jury. Paypal took the money out of my account and the guy obviously got to keep the templates. Pay Pal told me they usually refund immediately in the case of digital files. Whether it still works that way, or not...I'm not sure,
