BP4L MMA FIGHT NIGHT III: Last Night's Results and PICS. CAGE MATCH RODDY PIPER.

The BP4L was back in the Ring again last night. Portland Oregon Battle at the Roseland 42.
My cousin was slated to fight against Roddy Rowdy Piper's son on the original card but the Piper family pulled out a month ago.

Cousin Steve a Jujitsu Specialist stuck to his game plan in the September match and choked the fuck out of his opponent. This is his 3rd cage match but 25th competion match.

Some of you may remeber his first match in MMA. He got Killed. Bad.. Didnt stick to his game plan and use his strenghts and lost via TKO.. His second match he won as he choked the guy out (a mui Tai kickboxer)

Last night was probably his toughest opponent. A NCAA Wrestler.
Believe it or not Wresters are FUCKING tough SOBs... Add some mixed martial arts to a wrestlers game plan and they are fucking dangerous.

I posted the video of his last fight in September here:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=2SUr3tuQ0-w

Its boring, but he won. By choke out.. He stuck to his stregth and won.

Woot - Comeback!!!!

boneprone 01-11-2009 12:33 PM

ok as for last night....

As always I was pretty fucking nervous. In the locker room with him for 3 hours it was pretty sobering. Unlike his last matches he was really focused. We didnt have his big brother in the corner this time around. (gfy member exxxotica)

It was my job to keep him mentally focused.

I know for a fact i was more nervous than him.
Ive been the corner many times. With his brother and with him but I was especially nervous this time around. The guy he was fightning agasint was a good undefeated fighter. A good. NCAA Wrestler.

boneprone 01-11-2009 12:35 PM

It really didnt help that our match was stalled.. We were waiting in the tunnel forever.

The match before ours was FUCKING BLOODY. REAL BAD BLOOD..

They had to clean it.

http://modelscast.com/stevef2.jpg

It took like 20 minutes to clean.

http://modelscast.com/stevef3.jpg

There was a lot of blood.

boneprone 01-11-2009 12:36 PM

To make things worse they went ahead with the plan to have Rowdy Roddy Piper come out and greet the crowd. (we were in the tunnel saying what the fuck.)

http://modelscast.com/steve4f.jpg

We were supposed to be fighting Piper's son this match.
But they pulled out.

I guess the federeation had paid piper or somethin to speak before the match.

Even though his son bailed the guy still spoke.

STrange.

boneprone 01-11-2009 12:40 PM

After what seemed like forever in that tunnel waiting to enter the ring they finally finish up with cleaning the blood (you could still see the stains in the ring) and Piper was done with his drunken rant.

We start to enter the ring.

Game Plan:

Wear this wrestler out. Go toe to toe and Box with him for the entire round. Avoid a take down. Frustrate him.

http://modelscast.com/stevef6.jpg

1st round went ENTIRE to plan. Went toe to toe with him.
Landed soild punches to the face and chin. Got very solid kicks to the body and knees to the head

http://modelscast.com/steve7f.jpg

The wrestler was getting his ass handed to him. Bad!
In the last 30 seconds of the round the wrestler took steve down.

In the last 6 seconds the wrester had steve pinned down and got a VERY VERY solid shot to steve's head.

http://modelscast.com/fight1.jpg

The bell sounded.

Steve says, "that fucking hurt"

"ive NEVER been hit that hard in my life"

This wrestler only got in one good punch but FUCK he was strong. And it was a Very hard hit.

boneprone 01-11-2009 12:54 PM

Round two Game Plan: Go toe to toe with him again. Box and kick box him. Wear him out. Get points.
Frustrate him. Continue as we did in round 1. Stay off the ground!

Uhh, it appears he had other plans. The guy was tired of getting hit and wanted to roll.
ITs what he's best at so he was trying his best to do what ever it took to take Steve to the mat.

boneprone 01-11-2009 01:02 PM

Steve wouldnt go down though.
Steve tossed him to the ground in some counter moves knowing the wrestler would be trying some take downs.

The wrestler was getting really frustrated.

And tried some illegal moves.

http://modelscast.com/fight4.jpg

He had a point taken away.

Game plan was working.

We were winning via points both rounds 1 and 2 and he was getting really frustrated.

boneprone 01-11-2009 01:09 PM

He was getting so tired and frustrated he must have left his game plan and decided to try it toe to toe and go for the standing battle with Steve.

http://modelscast.com/box.jpg

Bad move in his part.

CRACK!!!

http://modelscast.com/box2.jpg

Couple more CRACKS!!
Bell rings.. He is fucking WOBBLING!

http://modelscast.com/box3.jpg

Round 1 and Round 2 both clearly ours.
Not to mention this guy is HURT bad. And tired.

When you fight outside your comfort zone or game plan it takes tons of energy

boneprone 01-11-2009 01:13 PM

Ok.. Now Round 3.. Some people may argue with this game plan..
Game Plan: Take Him to the Ground.

Jujitsu vs Wrestling.

Be AGGRESSIVE!

http://modelscast.com/final.jpg

As you can see coming to the middle to fight appears to be an effort starting round 3. we are going to take it to him.

Goal, fuck him up.

Look at Steves Eyes. He's going for the kill.
http://modelscast.com/final2.jpg

FOCUSED..

Look at the eyes!

Here is his training blog:

my typical week a few weeks before a fight. and also my game plan for the fight.

Monday either in the morning or in the evening I like to run up Mt Piscah, its 1.6 miles to the top, often I will walk up it once as a warm up then stretch, and then run up. then at 3:00 I go work some conditioning usually 5 5 minutes round with 1 minute intervals, so 1min combos on a heavy bag 1 min jumping on a heavy bag 1 min lunges with 45lb weight 1 min burpees with medicine ball and 1 min punching a dummy on the ground, rest 1 minute rep 4 or 5 more times, we like to change up the 1 minute exercises pretty much something that kicks your ass. then for 1 1/2 hours light sparing with mma gloves. trying to get my stand-up better.

Tues 5:30 jump rope til 6:00, do some warm ups and roll til 8:00 mostly jui-jitsu with mma gloves on.

Weds same as Monday

Thurs same as Tues

Friday like going over to Churchill HS and running up to the cross at Eugene Bible College, start at stop light closest to the college do it 6 times, all I got on the last one. or go to Hayward field and run up the bleachers 25 times is good for me. 5:30 go work some stand-up for an hour and a half or go work jui- jitsu for 2 hours depends where I go.

Sat 10-12 light rolling maybe some boxing, or work on specific techniques

Sun chill out

As far as the actual fight, I just want to win I think I want to go out there and stand up and bang, but that changes when I actually get in there I lack confidence in my hands, maybe next time. Between weigh-ins and fight time I like to relax, for example this last fight I pigged out on Sushi drank a shitload of water and juice, went to OMSI and did puzzles and checked shit out for a couple hours went and visited my granparents the OG Jungs, and then went back and waited to fight. Its not a huge deal I don't have aspirations of being a UFC professional fighter, I do this just as a personal goal and acheivment, and I think I will continue to do so as long as my body will allow. The rush of getting in the Octagon is fuckin awesome, and then to win is even another level.

The way the training makes me feel is better than any drug I've done, and I've done a lot, but not in years. endophines best feeling out there and its free and everybody has them. People release endorphin in different way, I've found that strenuous excercise over 25 minutes get them going.

so ya thats a typical week, good times
